Celsius and Centigrade

After reading that over 800 people have died due to temperatures
of 44.8 degrees Celsius (112.64 Fahrenheit) I wondered about the
name for that temperature scale. Growing up I remembered
Centigrade and Kelvin and wanted to know when Celsius was
introduced.
