lessons to be learned from South Carolina.

It's become a sad state of affairs when the South has to teach
the north about racial equality. Not one riot, not one cop shot,
not one match live in anger in South Carolina.I don't think even
Reverend Al has an open invitation to show up there with his
inflammatory rhetoric. have you noticed even less coverage from
the liberal media because there are no riots no burning?
Finally has anyone noticed the only ones using the N word are
minorities now days?. its up true shame that our president has
to resort to such tactics!

Without the crazies out in full force the media is backed into a
corner with not being able to WHITEwash the situation.

Exactly. So what do they do? They start disparaging gun control
laws and a confederate flag. Yet there's not one liberal out
there that can give an example of what kind of law would have
prevented this tragedy from happening. It's been said this
racist reloaded 5 times. If somebody would have been there with
a gun he would have been history.

Scanning some of the conspiracy sites, this was gov planned;
part of "jade helm". People need to take a serious deep breath,
count to 10 THEN look at facts about every incident that takes
place. This flash could have been stopped prior to the killings
if people would have opened their eyes.

Why is it, the only argument Obama seems capable of winning is
the straw man argument of his own making. Nobody and I mean
nobody has said that racism is cured in America except Obama
prior to him saying the N word. what an absolute moron!

Well lessee here...
Roof bought his gun legally from a gun store. Closing the "gun
show" loophole would have done nothing.
Roof reportedly passed a background check. Expanding those
would have done nothing.
Roof used an ordinary Glock. An assault weapons ban would have
done nothing.
Roof reloaded his 10-round magazine 5 times. Hi-capacity
magazine ban would have done nothing.
We already know who committed the crime, a firearm registry
would have done nothing.
The victims were disarmed by state law. Changing THAT may,
possibly, maybe, might have done something. So where are all
the "if it saves just one life" folks?
Oh, right. THAT is an unacceptable way to save a life.

I honestly don't see how.
His behavior prior to the shooting, while distasteful, was not
illegal or uncommon. Being a racist is completely legal in this
country.
So who could have stopped him and how?

It was amazing to watch the people of Charleston and South
Carolina come together in a show of brotherhood and love.

Rapids, I thought Roof got the gun as a gift.

That was the initial news report, but it's changed.
Turns out his family gave him cash for his birthday and he used
it to purchase a Glock from a local gun store. That purchase
included passing the background check.
There is some question as to whether or not he lied on the ATF
form where it asks about illegal drug use. He allegedly had a
history of that and it should disqualify him from a purchase.

It absolutely was (and is). They set an example of grace and
forgiveness.
