Someone please explain to me how writing a letter to a hostile
country denouncing what the PRESIDENT OF THE UNITED STATES has
said is "working together."

Not the brightest thing to do by far.

Ah. Found it. That was a post blasting the Conservatives for
not standing up to the destruction of our bill of rights. Thing
Conservatives claim to be champions of.
I don't believe compromise is appropriate when we're talking
constitutional rights. Either we have a 5th amendment and all
the protections it provides...or we do not. Chipping away it it
in the name of convenience isn't a good thing.
There are other times when compromise is appropriate.
Unfortunately the last 6+ years we've seen NONE. Have there
really been NO situations when Obama and the Republicans could
find a compromise solution?

If Democrats had done this to a Republican president there'd be
talk of Treason.
And you know what? There should be. This was deliberate,
intentional sabotage of our foreign policy for partisan
purposes.

I don't agree with what Republicans did, OTOH, I don't believe
we should be negotiating with terrorists either. The government
of Iran is the biggest sponsor of terrorism in the Middle East.
Already the IAEA is having trouble with verification. The
agreement isn't even finished. What makes you believe their
behavior will change?

Sorry, Trolly....there is no justification for what the
Republicans did. NOBODY should be negotiating behind the back of
the President. I don't care if that President is Obama, or a
Bush, or a Clinton, or Abe Lincoln, for that matter.

I believe Obama started this by his numerous acts of bypassing
Congress in the past.
So I guess Congress is repaying the favor.
Actually I think Obama should be removed from office. For all
his violations of our Constitution. He has done that so many
times now I have lost count.

Why should Republicans (or anyone else) want to defend your
rights when you have no desire to defend them yourself? It would
be funny if it weren't so sick, your talk about a belief in
compromise as long as you get everything you want without giving
away anything. You want to cut off your nose to spite your
face, I don't think I can change that. I can't say that I would
be so surprised, it might be the only way for you to get the
brown crust off! Leave my nose alone!
There is nothing appropriate about Obama he should hauled off
for treason but that won't happen as long as people like you
continue to be his enablers of his atrocious "leadership."

Nobody should be negotiating with terrorists either. But the
Bergdahl swap changed everything.
It serms the D's have forgotten meetings like Pelosi's meeting
with Assad in 2007. This went against GWB policy at the time.

[/quote]Nice try? Ok Linda, I'll put you down as one who agrees
with negotiating with terrorists. I am curioys though, what do
you suppose the reasoning was for Pelosi to meet with Assad?
Exchange recipes maybe? Maybe pray for peace?
