Keystone vetoed on "procedure"
By: trollslayer Date: February 25, 2015, 10:00 am
---------------------------------------------------------
President Obama veto's Keystone because of a violation in
"procedure". This from a President who prefers to use his pen
and his phone to bypass procedure. Keystone has been subjected
to more "procedure", oversight and review than any other
pipeline in history. It's all politics, nothing else.
President Obama vetoed a bill authorizing the
controversial Keystone XL pipeline Tuesday, carrying out a
threat to reject one of the first measures the Republican-led
Congress sent to the president's desk.
"Because this act of Congress conflicts with established
executive branch procedures and cuts short thorough
consideration of issues that could bear on our national interest
-- including our security, safety, and environment -- it has
earned my veto," Obama wrote in a message to the Senate.
That coming from Obama's mouth?  :o ::)
Obama has no use for our political procedures.
He constantly violates them.
Obama's hypocrisy has no limits.

You mean that pen and phone you slam him for NOT using against
ISIL? It's the same pen and the same phone....

He doesn't need a pen or a phone to fight ISIL. He's the
Commander in Chief. The little bit he's been doing he's been
doing under the War Powers Act and has been done by many
Presidents in the past. The funny thing is, a year ago he was
considering cutting back on the leeway the President has under
this resolution. What he really needs to do is let his Generals
fight this war and stop micromanaging. Maybe he won't have to
keep hiring Defense Secretaries then.
