Yay! Soon we'll be enjoying a 10% drop in wages like the other
Right to Work states!
(don't pester me for links, read the Wall St Journal)
I don't know about you, but I'm looking forward to having those
who support this governmental overreach watch their wages fall.

Government over reach? A law stating we have the right to join
a union or not join a union is over reach? Now there's a good
one. Funny how the left wing zealots want us to be able to
choose things like abortion but the choice to join a union
should be left to unions.

Since Act 10 went into effect here in Wisconsin two years ago
over 100,000 state employees dropped out of the unions.
Over in Michigan when Right To Work took effect the numbers are
similar for workers who dropped out of the unions.
If the unions are so popular and are doing such a great job. Why
are so many people leaving them?

Exactly. If so many people wanted to be in a union you would
think their ranks would be swelling, not shrinking. A
phenomenon nobody seems to be able to explain. :D

Yep. You already have the right to join or not join a union.
I've never belonged to one without any "help" from the
republicans even though my line of work is heavily unionized.
(CWA, IBEW, etc)
Don't want to join? Don't apply at a union shop! What is more
free-market than that? If nobody applied at union shops,
unions would die a quick death.
Instead, you want the government force union shops to change
what they are for YOUR convenience. That is not free market,
that is government interference.
Fact is that labor unions donate to Democrats and Republican's
cannot have that, so here comes the RTW nonsense . It has
nothing to do with worker's rights and everything to do with
political donations.
Don't ever claim to be in favor of the free market, limited
government or less regulation if you are OK with this.

If you could get your groceries free from the store, would you
pay for them instead?
That's what RTW laws do. Workers get the benefits the unions
fought for without having to pay union dues. It's designed to
kill unions and nothing more.
Let's pay Union members the $19/hour they bargained for and
non-union members $9.75. Then we'll see what happens to Union
membership. Except you can't do that, RTW laws make it illegal.

Why should they join when they can get the union benefits for
free? That's how the law currently works.
If union wages and benefits were only available to dues-paying
union members, membership numbers would look a bit better, no?
