VA Secretary's "Brian Williams moment(s)

Normally, this wouldn't be a big deal but lying about his
service to a vet, then lying to NBC's Meet the Press has damaged
his credibility as he leads a branch that sorely needs
credibility. The Washington Post has given his claims about the
number of people fired four Pinocchio's.
WASHINGTON — Veterans groups were divided in their
reaction to Veterans Affairs Secretary Bob McDonald's false
claims of serving in the Special Forces, the latest in a series
of headaches for the Cabinet official selected to bring more
honesty and trust to the scandal-plagued department.
On Monday, McDonald was forced to publicly apologize for the
claim, which came during a conversation with a homeless veteran
during a survey event in Los Angeles in January. The comments
were caught by a CBS camera crew and exposed as a lie by the
Huffington Post this week.
"I apologize to anyone that was offended by my misstatement,"
McDonald said in statement. "I have great respect for those who
have served our nation in Special Forces. They, and all
veterans, deserve a Department of Veterans Affairs that provides
them the care and benefits they have earned."
Everyone knows that there is no place for honesty in Obama's
Administration or for his appointees.
He should resign immediately.

I see Tammy Baldwin felt the need to hire a high profile lawyer
in her involvement in the Tomah VA scandal.

O'Reilly? Not really the topic. Why don't you start another
thread on it to be discussed. Personally, I don't see a story
there but maybe you can convince me.

Seems kind of odd to watch Fox in the first place, then complain
about anyone else lying. :D
The VA administration needs a house cleaning, no doubt. It has
for years. Anyone recall the disasters at Walter Reed that
began under Bush? Did anyone think sweeping it under the rug
would cause it to get better over the years?
Baldwin sat on a complaint. Ron Kind sent complaints his office
received to the VA inspector general as far back as 2011, still
waiting for action.
Ron Johnson never followed up when his request for an
investigation was ignored.
Seems our entire state government dropped the ball.

Is O'Reilly Fox? I occasionally watch Fox, I don't watch
O'Reilly. Never have. The problem with this statement is we
know McDonald lied. We know he didn't serve where he said he
served and he didn't fire as many people as he said he did.
It's clear cut, it's this weeks news. Again, if you wish to
debate O'Reilly lets start a thread and do it. Lets not
distract from the travesty that is known as the VA. Why is it
whenever the left hears news that it doesn't like Fox News
somehow becomes the convenient scapegoat?

My world!! Funny!! Like today I was real busy at work and then
someone has to stand in my way when I am in a hurry & holding
something heavy to ask me some gossip about another worker. Or I
am trying to explain an issue to a co-worker and she does not
get the point no matter how many times I paraphrase the
statement. And yes, sometimes there just are moments like these
that happen in the video.

He's their top rated and most-viewed show, so basically....yes.
