The impoverished Clintons are at it again

Their foundation is accepting millions upon millions of dollar
from overseas governments. You know, their "charitable
foundation" that actually forwards about 10% of the donations to
actual charities. Can we say Hillary's for sale?
Countries including the United Arab Emirates, Saudi
Arabia and Oman have collectively contributed millions to the
Clinton Foundation, which has dropped a self-imposed ban on
donations from foreign governments, The Wall Street Journal
reported late Tuesday.
The foundation's decision to again begin accepting foreign
contributions will likely raise new questions, just as Hillary
Clinton prepares for the expected launch of her 2016 White House
bid in the coming months. The U.S. prohibits foreign citizens
from donating to American campaigns.
The ban, which prohibited donations not approved by State
Department ethics officials, took effect in 2009 after Hillary
Clinton became secretary of State.
Former President Bill Clinton agreed to those restrictions at
the behest of the Obama administration, which worried about the
implications of the foundation raising money while Hillary
Clinton was representing the U.S. abroad.
Hillary Clinton joined the renamed Bill, Hillary & Chelsea
Clinton Foundation in 2013 after leaving the Obama
administration.
The Journal discovered the donations during a search of the
foundation's online database. The donations were voluntarily
disclosed by the Clinton group and provided only within ranges.
In 2013, four countries — Norway, Italy, Australia and the
Netherlands — donated to the foundation. That number doubled in
2014.
Among last year's donors was the Canadian government agency
pushing for U.S. approval of the Keystone XL oil pipeline. The
agency donated between $250,000 and $500,000 to the Clinton
group. The Journal noted that the State Department's initial
environmental impact report came during Clinton's time as
secretary.
The foundation, which reports its donor contributions through
last year on its website, has raised $48 million from foreign
governments since its founding, according to a Journal tally.
Several countries have donated toward the foundation's goal of
establishing a $250 million endowment, including the United Arab
Emirates (giving $1 million - $5 million), Saudi Arabia ($10
million - $25 million) and Oman ($1 million - $5 million over
time), according to the Journal. Germany, Australia, Qatar,
Norway, Italy and the Netherlands have also donated.
A spokesman for the Clinton Foundation told the Journal that the
funds were needed for the group's many charity projects around
the world and that all donors went through a tough vetting
process.
Seems a bit of a grey area, while the donations aren't for her
election campaign, they ARE for her charity and she knows who
gave what. It would seem that needs to be divested or handed
off to a third-party during the campaign/election to avoid a
conflict.

For anyone else this a gray area. For somebody who has been
burned by this gray area more than once in the past it's
outright stupidity. Dig a little deeper and find out exactly
how much of the billions is actually going to any charity.
You'll find it in the 10% range. The rest is used for travel
and incidentals.

It seems Hillary accepted a half mil from Algeria while she was
Sec of State. A broken promise. She said there would be no
foreign donations while she was in office. She is doing more to
hurt herself than any Reublican could.

I've never understood why politicians who KNOW the spotlight is
(or will be) on them think they can pull fast ones undetected.
Remember Gary Hart challenging the media to follow him he was
accused of having affairs? So they did and they caught him,
lol. They really think they're that much smarter than anyone
else?

They're Clintons remember. Of course they do. They've have
financial improprieties for three decades. It's bigger than I
originally heard. Now it's up to seven foreign governments. We
we just flying her around the world on jets so she could fund
raise it now appears.

Could it be that in spite of your current indignation, and a lot
of other people are far to willing not to be critical of such
matters until it becomes so obvious it can not be ignored. And
even when it comes to that point the old TELL PEOPLE WHAT THEY
WANT TO HEAR, WHEN THEY WANT TO HEAR IT, THE WAY THEY WANT TO
HEAR IT, NO ONE WILL CARE ABOUT HOW UNTRUTHFUL IT IS comes into
play. Judging by some of some of your comments, not only does it
seem to work it sort of seems foolish not to try it. Assuming of
course you have no sense of personal responsibility, morality or
ethics. This sounds like the Clintons to a "T."
Furthermore we really need to stop pointless candidate debates
and start psychological screening to make sure we are note
electing >:(!

The last president who may have passed as "normal" might have
been Carter. :D
Horrible president, BTW, but a normal and quite intelligent man.
It's almost as if being normal and intelligent makes you a bad
politician. Hmm....

Those charitable donations may have been given for future
favors.
