Freedom of speech again under attack, in Copenagen
By: trollslayer Date: February 14, 2015, 8:14 pm
---------------------------------------------------------
Literally, a Freedom of speech event shot up. Later a
synagogue. An artist who is guilty of nothing more than making
a cartoon portraying Mohamed as a dog was the suspected target.
More than likely an extremist, (whose religion will remain
unnamed at this time). Once again the "strong condemnation" the
US is well known for was issued. I guess stating there is
going to be "consequences" has been abandoned" since we've yet
to see what they are going to be.

Danish authorities mounted a nationwide manhunt Saturday for a
gunman who opened fire on a free speech seminar at a Copenhagen
cafe in an apparent attempt to kill a Swedish artist who had
published cartoons of the prophet Mohammed eight years ago.
Hours later, the Associated Press reported that three people,
including two police officers, were shot in a second incident in
the Danish city, although it is unclear if it is connected to
the first attack.
One person was shot in the head and the two officers were shot
in the arms and legs in the later attack, which occurred near a
synagogue in downtown Copenhagen. The shooter fled on foot,
police told the AP.
Police said the gunman in the first attack, who fled in a stolen
car, killed one person and injured three police officers in the
attack at the Krudttoenden cafe, which was hosting an "Art,
blasphemy and the freedom of expression" event.
Police released a grainy photo of a man in a dark ski jacket and
cap who may be linked to the attack. It was taken by a
surveillance camera near the site where the gunman abandoned the
dark-colored Volkswagen Polo that he had carjacked.[/quote]

They got the SOB who did the shooting. Apparently this person
was already on a "watch list". Apparently this means they watch
them until the suspect kills somebody.

Well at least the rest of the world is speaking out forcefully.
Like David Cameron who condemned the attacks by writing on
Twitter: “Free speech must always be protected. My thoughts are
with the Danish people.”
Twitter. Yeah, that'll pucker their behinds.

Agreed on the Twitter comment. Egypt and Jordan seem to be the
only one to stand up to ISIS right now/

Seems that way, although their efforts so far haven't changed
anything either. Meanwhile we keep bombing people who don't
care if we bomb them, it just accelerates their great reward.
We need to take out a few mosques. Hit something they value.

The problem being, they do care that we bomb them. They just
work around it. They change their strategy. It's just like a
football game. If you tell your opponent that you aren't going
to throw the ball they won't defend against the pass game. It
makes it pretty easy for your opponent when they already know
what you aren't going to do.

Bombing mosques will just upset the Muslims that are fighting
them away from us. It will create a divide.

The would mean injecting religion into a fight where you and our
leaders say there is none.
