Leaving the Airwaves

By now you heard that Brian Williams will not be on NBC NEWS,
not just for the few days days he imposed upon himself but 6
months without pay! :o
Now Jon Stewart will be leaving The Daily Show. Not sure if one
has anything to do with the other but...bye! Don't let door slam
your fourth points of contacts on the way out! ;D

A real network would have fired him. Of course I really suspect
he won't be back as more and more comes out. I'll bet RCA is
breathing a big sigh of relief right about now. On a related
note Top brass from the service are calling for an apology from
NBC for one of it's correspondents saying Chris Kyle was a
"racists" and went on "killing sprees". So far they've been
ignored.
More than 20 retired generals and admirals, along with
dozens of other retired military officers, have reportedly
joined the Media Research Center in writing a letter demanding
an apology from NBC’s parent company Comcast after a news
correspondent claimed on-air that slain Navy SEAL Chris Kyle
engaged in “killing sprees.”
“[Kyle] is a hero, not a talking point for a smug journalist,”
the group wrote in a letter, signed by more than 60 retired
military leaders, to the Comcast Board of Directors being
delivered Tuesday, the Washington Examiner reported.
The letter comes after Middle East reporter Ayman Mohyeldin said
during a Jan. 29 segment of MSNBC’s “Morning Joe” that critics
have described Kyle as having “racist tendencies towards Iraqis
and Muslims when he was going on some of these, you know,
killing sprees in Iraq on assignment.”
As far as The Daily Show goes, I've never watched it, I won't
miss it. I know several from the left will consider this a very
horrendous day.

Since you've never watched Jon Stewart, you probably missed the
fact that he skewers the Liberals when they have it coming, not
just the right. Probably one of the sharpest people in
entertainment. He's a much bigger loss than Williams.

Rapids, some times I swear you go out of your way to prove me
right!! :D :D
I've seen some of his stuff on You Tube. I know there are the
rare occasions he does go after liberals. Like much of the
media it's taken him five or six years before finally gaining
the courage to call out our president for his many gaffes and
mistakes. But as a comedian, he isn't reporting the news.

That's what some folks seem to forget. Stewart isn't news, it's
comedy and the material is plentiful on both sides. Some of his
funniest bits have been poking fun at both CNN and FOX.
Did you catch his interview with Obama, where he said "so...hope
and change is now hope and change with certain conditions?"
Nobody else would get away with that. :)

In spit of this scandal with Brian Williams The NBC Nightly News
was the highest rated news broadcast of last week. Of corse, the
source of this story was Brian Williams! :D

On a much more serious and truly tragic note, 24 time Emmy Award
winning CBS News correspondent Bob Simon was killed in car crash
today. A sad ironic end to journalist who survived 40 days in
Iraq prison in 1992 only to out this way...RIP Bob Simon.
