Hrdee's menu is better. The worst thing introduced by Mc
Donalds as far as I'm concerned, the McRib.

Breakfast is the time I like the fast food places best and
hrdees has great biscuits-almost like homemade---and like that
Hrdees has different items on their morning menu in different
       parts of the US
I try get out of the car and go in to order-----just
because---Mcd's is more consistent then Hrdees from store to
store to store--at least in our experience

To each his own, The Mc Rib is an acquired taste. As popular as
it is, I don't think anyone likes as anything other than an
       occasional treat. :-*
Hardees is always changing it menu. Does anyone remember what
circa 1985 Bacon Cheeseburger? That was my favorite, lettuce,
tomato and no onions. Big but not to big. Then they replaced it
with something with a hoagie shaped bun and then the Monster.
This last one has since been upgraded to Thick Burger status and
       the new Fresh Baked Buns.

What baffles me is why I can zip right through Hardees (nobody
is there), but the line at McDonalds stretches back through the
parking lot. I like Hardee's menu better.
       [/quote]
I think Hardees has taken the idea of "go big or go home" way to
       far. :o
If I order the Monster Thick Combo for lunch I either have to
skip breakfast or skip dinner. ;D

Burger King has real good breakfast croissant'wiches.
I think the ham in the ham & cheese at Hardees is skimpy.
But the best kind of breakfast sandwich is a homemade one like
the one I am enjoying this morning. Margarine tastes a little
       better on it than mayo.
By the way, is everyone on here old enough to remember when
margarine was illegal in Wisconsin? I mentioned that to one of
the young guys at work the other day and he thought I was
       kidding him.

I remember when margarine was illegal...And I remember when you
finally could buy it you had to add the coloring yourself. But
we grew up on a farm, so the idea of using "oleo" was unheard
of. Back then it tasted faintly of kerosine.

It wasn't illegal to sell margarine where I grew up--it was
illegal to sell colored margarine! Each lb came with a little
packet of yellow food coloring to mix with that white substance!
About once a week the grandkid wants a biscuit sandwich before
school--nothing like biscuits in the morning!!

Let me put it this way, I remember a vacant building called
ROBBIES that was torn down put up a the current Hardees. I also
remember the building that is now a chiropractic clinic was
either a Hardees or a Sandy's. I can also remember Kentucky
Fried Chicken having Fried Fish. Anyone else remember that guy
       with bowler hat? ;)

You are so old. I remember the first Pizza Hut that stood next
to where the Hardees is now. I think it had a fireplace in it. I
thought the building was real nice. Way back when 8th Street was
just a street as they say. Way back when Robbie's sold horse
       burgers.
