Obama batting 1000

Remember when he said Iraq is a "stable" country? Look at it
now
Remember when he was touting Yemen as a success story?
Unknown assailants fired shots Monday night at a U.S. Embassy
vehicle in Yemen's capital, Sanaa, the U.S. Embassy said, at the
end of a day marked by heavy fighting around the presidential
palace.
Nine people were killed and 67 others injured Monday in the
fighting between government forces and Houthi militants, Yemen's
Health Ministry said, before the sides agreed to a ceasefire.
The U.S. Embassy said Tuesday the shooters fired first into the
air and then turned the guns on its vehicle. The vehicle carried
U.S. diplomatic personnel and was at a checkpoint near the
embassy. No injuries were reported.
The latest violence comes at a time of prolonged turmoil and
intermittent clashes between government and opposition forces in
Yemen, a U.S. ally in the battle against al Qaeda.
I'm kind of scared to see where he declares victory next.

Still trying to beat that dead horse? You are aware the "Mission
Accomplished" banner was for a specific mission and not an
entire war? Do try to keep up. :-*

And Iraq was stable when Obama made those comments. Do you
have an actual point, other than things change?

That's funny. Iraq has never been a stable country. Especially
after pulling out entirely and leaving Nouri al-Maliki in
charge. Thinking it was is nothing cept a pipe dream. If it
were that stable it wouldn't be the mess it is today. In my life
time I've yet to see a "stable country" lose one third of it's
territory to terrorists in less than two years. Now you want to
tell me that Yemen was a success story as well?

Still not sure what your point is.
Were we greeted as liberators? Did we bring freedom and
Democracy to the Iraqi's? Did we pay for the war with oil
revenues? Is the middle east now safer with our stabilizing
influence?
You ought to be used to presidents getting it wrong about Iraq.
At least when Obama made those statements- at that time they
were made they were correct, even if it was just momentary. If
you are expecting any president to foretell the future, I'd like
to talk to you about lottery numbers. :D

Get used to it. You'll be beating a dead Obama horse for many
years after he's left office.

You mean beating that dead horse like this?

I guess some people have a lower threshold for their definition
of "stability" than others. Shiite's battling Sunni's, car
bombs going off in the market place killing innocents, a
President who makes his own VP a fugitive and kills his own
people based on religion doesn't fall under the category of "a
stable country" in my book. For some I guess it does. I see
you avoiding Yemen as a success story like the plague. Smart
move.
I do find it peculiar that you spend time trying to defend
somebody know for such whoppers like
Al Qaeda is on the run, or
ISIS is a JV team, or
If you like you plan....
I'm not sure I'd even try to dig my way out of that hole.

Well..SOMEBODY has to take up a contrary position, else your
only discussion will be people saying "I agree". What fun is
that? :D
