You don't watch FOX but you "know" it will "poison" the mind?
??? ::)

I used to be a dyed-in-the-wool, liberal-despising, Fox
Watching, Limbaugh-listening Conservative. I still hold
conservative positions on a lot of issues, (that's ACTUAL
conservative positions, not Republican nonsense)
Then the Bush years (who I voted for twice) happened.
Into his second term I started to realize exactly what was being
done to us.
Fear was being used to dilute and in some cases eliminate our
civil rights and constitutional protections. We were being
turned into a surveillance state.
Our economy was sold out to the highest bidder, with taxpayers
insuring big bank's gambling addiction.
Wars were being used as profit centers for the well-connected
while we, the public, were lied to about why they were being
fought.
And the Conservatives- the very group I thought would stand up
for the constitution, the group who would fight against loss of
freedoms and the surveillance state was instead the very group
implementing and defending it!
I never expected much from the Democrats along those lines. But
the Conservatives?
This went against everything they claimed to stand for. They
are two-faced liars, and Fox News is the cheerleading section.

Good grief! I haven't seen this much of this kind of left wing
propaganda since 2008 Alternative Energy Fair in Custer!
For over 70 years the words conservative and Republican have
been on receiving end of a campaign of outright demonization.
And for what? The ranting of you? Over the better part the past
50 years Central Wisconsin has been (over) represented by
Democrats on just about every level so I must ask wear does
your sense of betrayal start with? I had to put up with Dave
Obey for 40 of those years and even though he is out of office
(thank God) the new US Highway 10, well, that is more than just
his legacy. It is the metaphor that best describes the world's
second worst Brett Favre impersonator. Over budget, behind
schedule, nothing safer than what was there before, businesses
from Auburndale to Junction City getting the shafts and no
option of going the way that once was. Perhaps someday when I
feel like really ranting I will go into detail.

WMD, put your bluster aside and read what I actually wrote. If
you can find where I said modern democrats are any better,
please point it out. Obama has not only carried on the
destruction, but accelerated it.
I expected democrats to build big government answers to
problems that cost big taxpayer money. That's what democrats do.
I didn't expect it of Republicans who claim to be against that
stuff. My mistake.
They run up deficits, waste money and spit on the bill of rights
with the best of 'em.
I remember businesses in Merrill closing when 51 bypassed the
city, more in Lake Nokomis when that bypass was built.
I remember 8th st here in Rapids being 2-lanes and 8th and
Grand being state Highways, pushing lots of traffic past Rapids
businesses. The Expressway bypasses most all of them now.
That's the price of building 4-lanes to carry the increase in
traffic. I'm sure Hwy 10 is wildly different, right? Time
marches on.

Well hand them a box of kleenex and dry their sniffles. Boo
Hoo.
Think the Left wing is treated any differently? I mean aside
from being called Libtards, mentally ill and a cancer on the
country?
Republicans are treated no better and no worse.

Perhaps I should have been a little more specific. Let us just
start with newspapers. Remember when Journal Communications had
two daily publications. The Journal and the Sentinel? One
conservative one liberal, can anyone remember which one was
which? They merged into one, care to guess which one won out?
Gannet or Wall Street Journal... Do I even have to go there?
Speaking of the mentally ill, it wasn't all that long ago some
of the Democrats' most loyal constituents would have been sent
to the padded rooms.
Remember GWB, how much grief did receive over being a member of
SKULL AND BONES, same as John Kerry? And how much grief did he
get for a bunch of other things he may or may not have done in
college? Yet these same "journalists" are so willing to say how
all the world leaders who feel snubbed over his refusal to
attend the Charlie Hebdo Walk. He even ordered Holder home
rather than have him attend. You want to hear the justification?
"It would have been wrong to make such a trip after a vacation."
In conclusion, Obama's refusal to attend the Charlie Hebdo Walk
after making a speech about "standing" with those very same
world leaders he then refused to march with is the perfect
metaphor of Obama. He talks the talk but does not walk the walk.

Hey WMD, what I'm getting from your post is:
Some of the media leans center/left.
People throw mud at politicians/parties they don't like. Yeah,
GWB got his share. So did Clinton and so has Obama.
Obama's a crummy president.
No disagreement on any of it. Nothing new either.
If you are trying to make a point that Republicans get more
crap tossed at them than Democrats, I'm not seeing it. I think
Obama actually has Bush beaten, target-wise. Or maybe it's a
tie. In any case, the Kleenex offer is still on the table.

I don't need your Kleenex! Just a sledgehammer, the most corrupt
Chicago based politician in existence and keys to the plexiglass
observation box attached to the Willis Tower. You know, the one
with the crack.

I am bored with freedom of speech again under attack by Muslim
Extremists.
I am happy with the new Hwy 10. What say you?

good Redneck music.

I haven't used it yet. Maybe never will. I tend to take
backroads whenever possible, 13 (now 73) towards Marshfield, P
(now 66) to Point, Cty O to Mosinee. Can't beat driving past
the flowage on a sunny day.
The new 10 has taken some of the traffic off of my backroads, so
I'm happy with it!

I have family in Rudolph and I think the new Hwy is very scenic.
My Godfather told me they had some trouble putting it in over by
him.
