Movies

Went and saw Birdman, WOW. It was intense and interesting in its
shooting style appearing to be one continuous take. I was not
all that familiar with the plot and glad to have seen it that
way. Loved Michael Keaton, an as always Edward Norton who plays
a Broadway Diva to the hilt. The movie builds upon itself to an
amazing climax. Dont want to reveal too much as you should
really see this movie.

Watched Noah the other night. If you're looking for the
Biblical story in this movie, you'll be disappointed. Cain and
Able had another brother. Stonemen helped build the ark and on
and on. If you want to see this movie I suggest you try
another. It wasn't bad but I really wasn't that fond of it.

Left Behind with Nicolas Cage. He is a pilot on his way to
London when all of a sudden people disappear, not only on the
plane but worldwide as well. That's all I'm going to disclose
as to go further would kind of expose the plot. A great movie,
well worth the watch!

I had seen the previews for a movie that came out last year
called The Babushkas of Chernobyl and was very interested in
viewing it. Sadly the library is unable to get the movie for me
and from what I was told it isn't even being made anymore.

Yes I noticed the website for it. I don't know why the librarian
would say it isn't available. I am going to look further into
it. I liked the bit I have seen of it on YouTube.

American Sniper. You all know the basics of the story, I need
not try to explain it. This movie has been proclaimed as one of
Eastwood's best work. I tend to agree. At the end of the movie
they show footage of Kyle's funeral and some real life pictures
prior to the rolling of the credits. The majority of the
theater was glued to their seats until the credits rolled. Then
when it was over the reverence that was felt in the theater by
all was palpable. You could have heard a pin drop. I've never
experience that from a movie before. A real must see!!

Birdman. It was a great movie filmed as one continuos scene,
acting, directing, everything was amazing, That said its weird
at the same time. Not quite like any movie I have seen in quite
a while. Not a movie for people who just want to go to laugh and
be entertained, the movie is deep.

Still Alice. I went last night. Julianne Moore did a great job
playing the part of a Alzheimer's victim. A well educated woman
who is struck with the disease and goes on to find it is
familial and may pass it on to her family. It has Alec Baldwin
who plays her husband who I think is a total d-i-c-k and he kind
of plays one here a well. A great movie but this only gives the
viewer a small snapshot into not only the disease process but
the effect on the family as well. If I had to rate it I'd give
it 3 out of 5 stars. Not a must see but one that isn't a waste
of time. Especially if you know somebody afflicted with this
horrible disease.
