The Power of the Pope

I know there are some who wonder how he can be considered a
world leader i guess this might be one more reason why. We all
know that John Paul was instrumental in the fall of the Berlin
Wall. Now Pope Francis brokers this deal. Those guys can do some
amazing things all in the name of peace.

When did the Pope and Catholics become righties or lefties? Was
not long ago the moral majority were the religious righties and
Catholics were centrists, cept for that abortion thing.

The pope is the equivalent of the queen of England. Pretty
headdresses, lots of pomp and circumstance, but no real clout
outside of the British Empire/Catholic Church.

When is the last time the Queen of England brokered a deal
between two countries like the Pope just did?

IMHO, I think 50 years is enough time to realize our tactics
weren't working. Tough to make an argument against awful
Commie countries when our largest trading partner and banker is
one.
