May I make a suggestion for you then? Check out "Chopped" A
show that's a competition strictly about cooking and one I think
you would thoroughly enjoy. Chefs get a basket of unusual
ingredients and must make an a dish out of it. Sometimes the
things these baskets contain are very interesting and sometimes
       repulsive as well.

Chopped is one that gets watched occasionally along with Top
chef on Bravo--their creativity sometimes(well often) amazez
me!! A good friend has a show on Destination America that will
dvr when it is running but it is more bbq centric--I miss Sara
Moulton, the original Galloping Gourmet, and even that
Protestant Pastor from the PNW that turned out to be a bit of a
       perv ;)

Graham Kerr was the GG, loved the show--at least until he
stopped drinking and went way crazy on the healthy side

I have a tendency to read about 4 novels at one time.
I've just started "Revival" by Stephen King.
The one story that really stuck with me in the last
year..."Unbroken." Read the book before you see the movie.
       Heart-wrenching.
       [/quote]
I too read several at once, was given Unbroken for Christmas and
am looking forward to reading it.
