Thank goodness for American Stupidity

Obfuscation and American stupidity is the reason Obamacare has
passed, at least according to one of it's architects. Of
course, the stupidity aspect would explain why a certain person
spent months on forums telling everybody what a good deal this
was. Then blamed Republicans when it wasn't. ;D

I'm not sure about that...that's basically the idea behind any
form of health insurance, SSI, SSDI and several other programs.
I wouldn't assume the American people are that selfish.
The rest of his points- absolutely. We could have done a
better job with a three-page bill.
(As could Romney in MA....same architect....same obfuscation)
Interesting, his final comment, isn't it? "I'd rather have
this bill than not". In his opinion all the negatives are worth
it?

I thought it was interesting as well. We can lie we can cheat
and we can hide all the facts we want, as long as we get what we
want is all that matters. After all Americans are too stupid to
figure it out anyway.
Gruber may think it was all worth it, a large majority of
Americans don't.

Not so much that as American's just aren't given accurate
information (FOX? MSNBC? God help us trying to find actual
truth)
and we are fairly powerless to act when we do figure it out.
So we just voted in a Republican sweep. Do you think they'll
actually dismantle or de-obfuscate the ACA?
I don't think so.

The American people were conned. If any of us screwed people
out of their money like this we would be prosecuted.
Obama, Pelosi, Reid, and all the others knew exactly what was
going on. And their intentions were to deceive and cheat us.
They should be held accountable. They should be arrested and
charged with the crime.

Please, don't try this tired old defense. While Obamacare may be
based on the MA plan, and the architect may be the same, the
circumstances behind legislating it are completely different
than what happened at the federal level. Not only that, I
haven't heard a soul say obfuscation was involved in MA, I
didn't hear anyone calling the electorate of MA stupid. Apples
to oranges rapids
