I'm sure some people don't care which hospital it is...they
don't pay their bills either way, according to Wisconsin Circuit
       Court records...

Everyone will be a winner in this compromise. I think most will
find that it's not who you pay the bills to but who actually
       provides the care.
Can we try to keep the cheap shots down to a minimum please?

LMAO! I'll GLADLY pay for good service if there is such a thing
in the medical arena. Aspirus is piss poor, riverview is no
better and marshfield......... Lets not go there. BTW linda,
I'll be dead soon enough since I stopped trusting the med
       profession YEARS ago!

I'm cautiously optimistic. Not an Aspirus fan, but I think this
is probably better than the alternative- two competing hospitals
driving each other into the red.

I think it will prolly be a good thing for the area. When my
wife was sick and needed all levels of care, we chose Ministry
over Aspirus cause we could use a clinic down the road, then the
clinic at St. Michaels and it's hospital, then St. Joe's, all on
one computer system with doctors on each others speed dial.
With Aspirus we would have one somewhat convenient clinic then
the trip all the way to Wausau, a short trip to Rapids instead
       may have changed our minds.
Wisconsin Rapids might find themselves attracting quite a few
more customers from the outlying areas.
