Snickers, that's the dumbest thing I've ever heard! Please
provide a source for that statement.
I can tell ya this...I seriously doubt that all the Mexicans
working as roofers in the area right now are US citizens. But
those guys WORK THEIR A$$ES OFF in bad weather. I'm sure there's
US citizens with "bad backs" who bitch about them being here
doing the work they themselves are too lazy to do.

I've never said voter fraud doesn't exist. I've said showing ID
at the polls won't prevent the types of fraud that actually
happen.
The registration process needs to be overhauled. By the time
the fraudsters reach the polls they're already cleared to vote,
showing ID changes nothing.

Good chance for sensible compromise, require verifiable ID at
registration and at the polls, that gives the left a little and
the right a little. Problem solved.

It sounds like a sensible compromise but where politics is
involved I rarely find myself using those two words. The left
has way too much to lose to consider such a thing.

Conservatives: Obama intends to legalize status of millions of
undocumented
Conservative politicians are warning that President Barack Obama
is preparing a plan to legalize the status of millions of
undocumented immigrants after learning of a procurement request
made by the U.S. Citizen and Immigration Service for up to 34
million work permits and green cards over the next five years.

Obama Says He Will Unilaterally Legalize Illegal Aliens
(CNSNews.com) - President Barack Obama said in a press
conference in Wales on Friday afternoon that although his
"preference is to see Congress act," he intends to take
unilateral action to give illegal aliens “some path” to “be
legal” if Congress does not enact the sort immigration
legislation he wants.

That would make sense. I find it odd that Van Hollen laid out
exactly where the fraud is happening (multiple registrations,
felons registering, etc) only to have the Legislature completely
ignore reality to focus on ID at the polls.
Makes me wonder if the intended"Problem solved" isn't the one
we think it is.

I guess the Republicans had better figure out how to get
Immigrants to vote for them....and fast. :D
[/quote]
They might be, they sure are catching up fast right now.
Hispanic political preference is down to only 57% Democrat from
close to 66% just two years ago. The female voting gap has
almost disappeared in many States, even Wisconsin with a chance
at a first time female governor. Now, Harvard University tells
us Millennials are split only 49/48 Democrat.
