Interesting article

I have heard the frustrations echoed in this article from
numerous friends in law enforcement. I know we are seeing an
abundance of reports of police supposedly acting improperly.
It's interesting to hear a reporter report with such bluntness
what goes on at some of these crime scenes. Not that it makes
acting badly by the cops OK but if you had to put up with some
of the crap reported here I can imagine your attitude might
change towards those you are trying to help.

It's really a shame the cops and neighborhoods have such an
adversarial relationship. I'm sure there is fault that lies on
each side. But really, cmon you want to give those that are
investigating a shooting in your own neighborhood a hard time?
What an ungrateful b1tch!!

I agree. I wouldn't want to be a cop. An old friend of mine was
a career officer. He told me, when my son was talking about
going to school to be a policeman,"You have to deal with the
worst 1% of the population every day."
But, I find it sickening that people are willing to give bad
cops a pass when they shoot an unarmed human being, but the same
people are outraged that an area officer shot a pit bull that
was charging him with teeth bared.
We as citizens need to get our priorities in check.

I can't recall one incident where anyone gave a cop a "pass" for
shooting an unarmed individual. I can remember several
incidents where people assumed a cop was guilty prior to and
during an investigation. It seems as a cop the citizens you're
in charge of serving have the right to assume you're guilty
before all the facts are known. Ferguson comes to mind as a
great example. Even today, after some of the facts are known in
the latest MO shooting, there are people protesting a cop
shooting an armed black man after he shot at the cop. Some
assume he should have just let him run away to shoot somebody
else another day. There is something wrong with that type of
thinking. A cops job is to protect and serve and in this last
incident, it appears that this is exactly what happened. The
race baiters OTOH use this as another excuse for civil
disobedience.

To be fair, Trolly, there were a lot of people willing to write
off the deceased as thugs who deserved to get shot...

Oh, for peters sake! Go out on the web and read any of the
comments on the Misouri killing! You will find all kinds of
comments from people blaming the guy who was shot!

The grand jury is till out in the Ferguson shooting. There is
too much conflicting information to make a call one way or the
other. But, if he attacked the cop started to leave then turned
around to attack him again, he deserved to get shot.
The latest shooting, the perp popped of three rounds at a cop
and would have shot even more if his gun didn't jam. He
deserved to get shot. When you assault an armed man, when you
shoot at an armed man you deserve what you get. I'm not sure
why some people have a hard time holding people accountable for
their actions. When you end up on the losing end of a fight you
started, it sucks to be you.

From what seen on the store video... Yes he was thug.
Did he deserve to be shoot. Does anyone?
I saw pictures of the injured Officer in this incident. He had
been severely beaten.
If Brown did try to take the Officers firearm and add that to
the beating he gave the Officer. Plus if he did charge the
Officer.
Well then he got what could be expected..
