You men might think so. From a woman's perspective, it's not
really a great ad. And, it wouldn't matter who was in political
       office.

Because, from the get-go, it's an example of a totally
disempowered woman. Hence the alluding to it's about domestic
abuse. That is pretty lame for an ad. On the other hand, what
would it be like if the ad had displayed an empowered woman who
had the message, "Enough of your crap Mr. Obama. I've learned
the lesson and am out of here, etc."

Ahh the poor Sandra Fluke excuse. I guess as a woman you're
reading a message that never was really there. I never caught
the domestic abuse angle, but I guess I must be the wrong sex.
I pretty much figured out was the ad was about by 20 secs or so.
But then again I wasn't reading more into it. I walked away
from the ad with this message:
       --- Quote ---
       > the ad had displayed an empowered woman who had the message,
"Enough of your crap Mr. Obama. I've learned the lesson and am

Can't speak for all men, only myself. I would not agree that
this woman is totally disempowered. If she was she would not
have said no more. Granted she could have earlier but for what
could be any number of reasons she stuck around only to see that
what was claimed and what was really going on where quite
different. She comes off to me as someone who was trusting of
a slick salesman (something many of us have fallen for). While
she initially was trusting she finally said NO after enough of
hearing the lies and realizing the relationship was not what
"the lover" said he was. Again the hardly fits the definition
of a totally disempowered woman, or at least this mans idea of
       one.

I'm guessing you have never worked at the Women's Shelter in
Wausau, which really isn't any different than any shelters
       anywhere else.

Does not working at a womans shelter make her opinion any less?
She offered up a "woman's perspective" the same as you did. It
just happened to be different from yours.
