Vandalism in South Wood County

What happened in Babcock this morning was nothing short of a
pure bullcrap! >:(
It has been over a year since the last time I dined at the
Babcock Cafe, so today seemed as good a day to rectify that. You
can imagine my disappointment and confusion when pulling onto
the parking lot not seeing any cars but rather a table and a
bunch of chairs and the CLOSED sign! ??? :(
So I headed to Pittsville instead and while at the GATHERING
PLACE I overheard the staff explain what some juvenile
delinquents had done to the Cafe, a neighbor's house and the
OCEAN SPRAY plant. >:( :(
Oddly enough, the news media has been utterly silent as writing.
WAKE UP RAPIDS TRIBUNE THIS HAPPENED IN YOUR BACK YARD! :o

They did not print anything the time Bobby Martionovichs
trucking in
Babc0ck burnt up either. They must not think Babc0ck is
important enough.

Rapids if you need the famous Mrs Peterson cranberry pie recipe
I can give it to you.
Maybe your wife already has it since Mrs Peterson worked with us
at the French fry factory.

Woooaaa!! Cranberry pie?? I'm there!! I'm wondering if maybe
we could have a chicken pot pie for a main course?

I hope you are not particular toward OCEAN SPRAY cranberries
because those same delinquents that ruined the cafe also broke
into one their plant and drove a tow-motor into one of sorting
pools. :P >:(
Word up for Warrens; prepare for vending stand dining because
that little cafe is the last place for a sit down meal or you
will have to go Tomah! :o

Sheriff: Drunken teens ransack Babc0ck
Babc0ck(WAOW) – Two 14-year-old boys went on a vandalism spree
that included trashing a restaurant and ransacking a cranberry
warehouse, causing more than $100,000 in damage, Wood County
Sheriff Thomas Reichert said Friday.
The teenagers told investigators they were drinking at the time,
the sheriff said.
The vandalism, which occurred late Wednesday or early Thursday,
left extensive damage at Ocean Spray, Americold, Babock Cafe and
a home, the sheriff said.
Ocean Spray Plant Manager Marty Deluca said the damage included
broken windows and computer monitors, forcing the company to
stop receiving cranberries and to divert shipments to a plant
in Tomah.
Vandals drove onto the property and tore up the lawn, Deluca
said.
No one was in the plant at the time, the company said.
Reichert said the teens also damaged vehicles, walls and artwork
during the rampage. At the cafe, food was strewn about or
destroyed, he said.
The two juveniles were arrested late Thursday and some stolen
property was recovered, he said.
Concerned citizens quickly helped deputies identify potential
suspects, Reichert said.

Once again, why were two 14 year olds allowed to be running wild
at night? I hope their parents are held responsible for the
damage their monsters did.
