       Obama's speech
By: trollslayer Date: September 10, 2014, 8:23 pm

I'm not impressed. Right now this "broad coalition" consists of
only nine nations compared to the forty that Obama wants. Not
only is he at fault but others as well. He does need to show
some leadership before others sign on. Bush had 37 nations on
       board for is coalition.
We now have over 1600 noncombat boots on the ground but still
have "no boots on the ground".
He's now arming the "doctors and dentists" that he's refused to
       arm after all this time.
It's too bad we've had to wait years for the polls to turn
against him before he would finally act. Now lets see where it
       goes.
I guess Al Qaeda isn't "on the run" after all.
I guess Iraq isn't that stable after all.

I seriously was going to cut Obama some slack on this but one
day after making his speech, it's back to the same ole same ole.
Obama is using the warpowers act to bomb ISIS (the very same
act he was talking about eliminating BTW). Mean while Kerry
says we aren't at war with ISIS. You know, the group Obama
       claimed wasn't Islamist.
Also Germany and Great Britain (almost 1/4 of the Obama "vast
coalition") have declined to do bombings in Syria. This is
       going really well.

       the 10 foot pole war.
Nobody wants to touch it because they're afraid it'll go south
and we'll end up arming those who turn and attack us next.

Yeah but,we're going to fight a war that isn't a war, against
Islam extremists who aren't Islamist, against a state that
isn't a state, using 1600 boots on the ground that aren't
actually boots on the ground, with a strategy that doesn't
exist, fighting for a victory that the White house can't
explain, because the press secretary doesn't have his dictionary
       with him?
Can you understand why people (and countries) don't want to get
       engaged?
I think the only man made disaster here is the Obama foreign
       policy.
Remember him bragging about his foreign policy prowess during
       the debates?

       Absolutely.
Another middle east quagmire + Obama in charge = another
       disaster.
