Re: Another journalist beheaded!

WASHINGTON —Arguing that his motto “Don’t do stupid stuff” is
not a coherent foreign policy, critics of President Obama are
pressuring him to do something stupid without further delay.
Sen. John McCain (R-Ariz) and Sen. Lindsey Graham (R-S.C.) led
the attack on Thursday, blasting Obama for failing to craft a
stupid response to crises in Iraq, Syria, and Ukraine.
“Instead of reacting to these events with the haste and
recklessness they deserve, the President has chosen to waste
valuable time thinking,” McCain said. “This goes against the
most fundamental principles of American foreign policy.”
Graham also expressed frustration with the President, telling
reporters, “The American people are waiting for President Obama
to do something stupid, but their patience is wearing thin.”
In his most withering criticism, McCain called Obama’s “stubborn
refusal to do stupid stuff” a failure of leadership. “If I were
President, you can bet your bottom dollar I would have done
plenty of stupid stuff by now,” he said.

I can understand what you mean, Trolly. I don't know if it's
lack of passion or just his manner....

You know when Biden sounds more coherent than Obama (follow them
to the gates of hell) that we're in deep deep trouble. Obama
doesn't even seem to understand the threat posed by these
terrorists so how can you form a plan of any kind? We've gone
from the excuse of blaming social media to this.
PRESIDENT OBAMA again appeared to dismiss the conflicts
of the Middle East at a fundraiser Friday, saying the region has
“been challenging for quite a while” and that “things are much
less dangerous now than they were 20 years ago, 25 years ago or
30 years ago.” That may or may not be a valid analytical point,
but it is not one the U.S. president should be making, as was
brought vividly home when a video apparently depicting the
brutal beheading of another American journalist was released
Tuesday by the Islamic State.
The barbaric murder of Steven J. Sotloff gave Mr. Obama another
opportunity to lay out a U.S. strategy for combating an
organization that is more powerful and more ambitious than
al-Qaeda before the attacks of Sept. 11, 2001. Speaking
Wednesday in Estonia, the president was slightly stronger and
clearer than before. But his strategy — he now insists that one
exists — still has some big holes.
I find myself asking how many journalists were being beheaded
"20 years ago, 25 years ago or 30 years ago"? Or if this is
even pertinent at this point in time. Truly a completely
moronic thing to say!

Nice deflection. I see the point of the quote (and the obvious
sarcasm) you posted zoomed right over your head.
I think we can now officially add you to the list of Obama
zealot's. :D :D

If America were to hit with another 9/11 type attack.
Have to wonder if they would be able to drag Obama off the golf
course to deal with it?

You forgot one:
Isis taunts Putin and Russia.

Yep saw that yesterday.
What was Russia's reply to that threat?
Was it a ...."we don't know what we're going to do about
ISIS"?
Do you think Putin is going to pu$$y foot around with ISIS?

Putin will blast them. He's crazier than ISIS is.
Home sick today, guys. So make it interesting here....

I was thinking the same thing, except Putin would take out a lot
of innocents and not think twice about it. That would eliminate
the problem and maybe a few others.

Yeah, the US still tries to target the bad guys and avoid the
civilians. Not always successful, but tries.
Putin will roll the tanks and flatten everything between
borders.
And frankly, I'm going to cheer it on if that happens. Enough
already. Learn to join civilization or leave it permanently.

Another beheading. A British aid worker. So, how long before
something gets done? This reminds me of those intersections
where people frequently get killed and injured. After each
accident people wring their hands, local politicians demand
action and nothing gets done, until the next accident when we
lather, rinse, repeat.

Sadly this $hit won't stop until every single Islamic extremism
in the world is killed.

Kinda like the school shooting problem. The question is,
exactly what should be done?
Should we arm certain groups that we know will turn on us down
the road? Put 50K troops the ground and go door to door? An
Israeli citizen was beheaded, Israel isn't clear on what the
correct response is just yet either.
It doesn't help that this is a political minefield and the only
thing more important than clearing out ISIS is getting reelected
without a quagmire around the neck.
