Lies! Walker, Obama and Krug

I'm creating this topic to keep from derailing Steve's "Wagons
are circled and the deflection begins" thread, which I think is
an interesting and important topic.

This isn't even close to equivalent. Perhaps if your friend
made the exact route to Point one of the central reasons for the
trip and proclaimed that taking the other route was wrong? Then
took the other route anyway.... It might be roughly equivalent.
But it isn't.
There are folks who voted for Krug based on those two issues.
Not just the issues, but because they believed Krug when he
explained why those issues were important. Now they are
suddenly not important because they no longer benefit Krug
personally. That's pretty transparent.
[/quote]
So what if a person says they are going to take a route to Point
for a certain reason{ because they think it is shorter.}
And also say that taking the other route is wrong. {because
they believe it is longer}.
But later find out that they were mistaken and/or others
convinced them to take the other route because it is in fact
shorter and not longer.
This person then choose to take that route instead because it is
in fact shorter.
Does that make them dishonest?

A politician will tell you what they THINK you want to hear.
What I don't like hearing is a politician saying, " oops, I
didn't know that was a law". It makes them look stupid and the
trust factor is then gone. They all promise things that they
can not deliver and that is why people need to be engaged,
informed and study ALL candidates prior to election time. Walker
has done things I don't like, Krug has done things I don't like
and obama.........that is a whole new fairy tale!
Look at the zach election fraud issue. Once I discovered it, I
reported it within 12 hours. I didn't go through the gab because
the gab hands out nothing more severe that whack on the wrist.
Once more, I took it straight to the DA and that was a special
treat( according to the secretary, the DA won't talk to anyone
UNLESS there is a case pending. Yeah, talk about a disconnect!)
So now people viewed that as a "political stunt" because of the
time line. Gee, he posted his marked ballot on line after voting
in the "primary spring election" and the spring general election
was 6 weeks later. When would have been the best time to turn it
over? Sit on it for a week a half til after the general? yeah, I
would have been accused of hiding it then. See, people don't
want to believe that their local governments are dirty and
rotten, they don't want to acknowledge wrongs are committed on a
daily basis.
If you want to make an issue out of the per diem because Scott
"lied", more power to you but remember, I was "petty" for
turning in a felony committed by zach. If you want to make an
issue out of the term limits, more power to you but think about
this, no one stepped forward to say they were going to run for
that office on the republican side. Do you expect Scott to just
leave the seat up for grabs by one of the two extreme left
leaning candidates? If you think he should have, all I have to
say to that is ...."WOW!"
Scott Walker and Krug may have lied in your eyes but the
difference between those and those told by obama..... on one
died because of the Scotts.

No. I expect Scott to speak directly to his constituents and
explain that he misjudged the situation and is considering
taking per-diem money out of financial necessity.
And to explain that he's changed his views on term limits after
actually serving, and would like to serve the area for another
term. Fair enough, changing positions if you are honest and
upfront about it beforehand. People learn, grow and change
their minds.
Instead of being upfront and honest, Krug said nothing until
the media exposed him. THAT is my biggest issue. He thought
he was going to pull one over on the voters and got caught.

OOPS! I guess you can consider this my change of direction:
All political parties SUCK! There, they are now all at the same
level as the democrats! ;)

Bingo. The democrats suck, the republicans suck, they are both
a bunch of self-serving crooks.
If Obama were a Republican president, the Dems would be
screaming for impeachment.
If Krug were a Democratic state rep, the Republicans would be
making hay of his reneging on promises. If you remove the
party label you can see them both for what they really are.

As far as what can be classified as a flat out, undeniable lie.
How about Obama's whopper "This is the most transparent
administration in history"

We'll be greeted as liberators.
Mission accomplished.
I did not have sex with that woman, Ms Lewinsky.
We flew no bombing missions over Cambodia today.
Lies are pretty much a non-partisan thing.
Incidentally Snicks, if Obama were up for re-election, I would
campaign for his opponent. You OTOH are probably going to vote
for Walker and Krug despite their lies, aren't you?

The "we will be seen as liberators" was a mistaken belief. Not
a lie.
The "Mission accomplish" was also a mistaken belief. Not a
lie.
On the other hand.
The "I did not have sex with that woman" claim was a conscious
lie.
The "we flew no bombing missions" claim was a conscious lie.
Obama's proclamation "This is the most transparent
administration in history" was an incredibly dishonest and
conscious lie.
Of course I will vote for both Walker and Krug.
They have both done great jobs.
Unlike that complete failure Obama. The worst President in the
history of our Nation.
