Benghazi! Benghazi! Benghazi! We DEMAND answers!

Wait.
Oh, never mind.

Weird, you'd think FOX would be eager to run this story, what
with any possible Benghazi mention being their top headline for
how many months? Not so much as a whimper from the "fair and
balanced" guys.

Kinda funny, somebody so critical of Fox News and the many, many
other websites put up by others, pulls an article from a site
that touts "Today's gossip is tomorrow's news". A fine choice!
;)
If you wish to think there is no wrong doing in the Obama
handling of Libya and the Benghazi attack there is no sense
wasting my time pointing out the obvious to somebody bellied up
to the kool aid bar. Repeat after me, it was all a video, it
was all a video......

Don't you mean repeat after FOX? Funny how not buying into
obviously political conspiracy theories is somehow considered
"drinking the kool aid" while full throated repeating of
debunked talking points somehow isn't. Must be nice inside that
bubble.
but yeah, Gawker isn't really a "newsy" source. Fair enough...I
would have loved to use a conservative source, but for some
strange reason they're all silent on the subject. hmmm...wonder
why
No, the kool aid drinking part comes from those who
somehow think Obama's hands are clean in his handling of Libya
and Benghazi while at the same time blame Bush for what's
happening in Iraq. Try not to spill please. It's only a
video.... it's only a video......

Summary:
no wrongdoing, no intelligence failure, no specific warning, no
orders to stand down, nobody was deliberately misled.
Ouch. That's gotta hurt.
The House Intelligence Committee, led by Republicans, has
concluded that there was no deliberate wrongdoing by the Obama
administration in the 2012 attack on the U.S. Consulate in
Benghazi, Libya, that killed Ambassador Chris Stevens and three
other Americans, said Rep. Mike Thompson of St. Helena, the
second-ranking Democrat on the committee. […]

Thompson said the report “confirms that no one was deliberately
misled, no military assets were withheld and no stand-down order
(to U.S. forces) was given.”
Details:
-- Intelligence agencies were "warned about an increased threat
environment, but did not have specific tactical warning of an
attack before it happened."
-- "A mixed group of individuals, including those associated
with al Qaeda, (Moammar) Khadafy loyalists and other Libyan
militias, participated in the attack."
-- "There was no 'stand-down order' given to American personnel
attempting to offer assistance that evening, no illegal activity
or illegal arms transfers occurring by U.S. personnel in
Benghazi, and no American was left behind."
-- The administration's process for developing "talking points"
was "flawed, but the talking points reflected the conflicting
intelligence assessments in the days immediately following the
crisis."
Those talking points included assertions that those who attacked
the compound were angered by an obscure anti-Muhammad video
posted to YouTube in the U.S. There is disagreement to this day
about whether that was the case.
Republicans must be pretty big Obama Kool Aid consumers. Their
own report clearly says "no wrongdoing".
At some point you have to admit you believed things that were
not true and that sugary, cherry drink smell isn't coming from
where you thought it was. :D

Questions for you Rapids, Why was Benghazi so unstable? Might
be the assassination of Qaddafi had something to do with it
right? Why was the Embassy the only thing open when even the
Red Cross shut down due to the danger? Why wasn't security
heightened after repeated requests to increase it? If there was
no stand down order, why wasn't there an order to send in some
type of protection? Why did we just leave them there to die?
Why after ten days was Obama still pushing the video narrative
at the UN when everybody knew better. There are others but I'm
sure you get the idea. You are another who posted Bush is
responsible for what's happening in Iraq but feel some need to
absolve Obama for the conditions in Libya. Why is that?
It's kind of like driving drunk, at 100 mph, at night, with no
lights on, with no seat belts then blaming the deer that jumped
out in front of you for the accident.

It'll never happen. Conspiracy nuts will never give up their
conspiracies just because of overwhelming evidence to the
contrary. They'll hang on like religious fanatics, stringing
increasingly improbable scenarios that support their lunacy long

Largely because it's Libya and never terribly stable, I'm also
sure removing Qadaffi had some part in it.
But...now that the Republican's original accusations have been
disproven you're just changing the argument.
