District 72 election

Reading comments and editorials in the last week or so, I'm
thinking Scott Krug is in trouble if he doesn't take a stand
against CAFOs. The Democrats have come out against Wysocki
Farms, which is probably going to get them a lot of
votes..whichever one makes it past the primary. I think this is
a political ploy, as I think whether that farm goes in or not is
pretty much out of their hands, so I really don't think it's
fair to make that an integral topic for the election.
Krug has been careful not to take an absolute stand on this
issue, and I agree with him on that...a lot has to be learned
about this.
What do you guys think?

Linda, the cafo is one of those hot button issues that can
burn Krug any way you look at it. If Krug supports the farm, he
will take a beating in saratoga and rome but gain in plainfield,
coloma and wautoma areas. If he goes against the farm, it will
be reversed. I find it rather comical that the saratoga
concerned group( or what ever they are calling themselves today)
are celebrating the golf course that is being created south of
rome. Both duncan and rayome have made comments about NO MORE
hi-cap wells and I understand the golf course will be drilling
at least 4 of them. These comments also will burn rome. Rome
already has two hi-cap wells being used to supply the residents
and they have to dump the water twice a year for a total of
about 8 million gallons because the water turn over (or demand)
just isn't there and well 1 is already toxic. When this is
brought up, the concerned group then changes the narrative to
the open pit lagoon. This is also comical because most residents
don't know of the open pit lagoon used by domtar( the picture
attached). The last time I was to this lagoon, it was a 94
degree day and there was steam(?) rolling off of it. While
standing at the edge of it, you can see bubbles rising to the
surface( sometimes two to three feet above the level of the
lagoon) and burst open with a toxic cloud. The chemicals being
dumped into this lagoon range from watered down fly ash to
black, white and green liquor; all of which are cancer causing
chemicals. No one seems to care about this( biting the hand that
feeds them?) so I find the concerned group to be quite
hypocritical.
