Because the Satanic Temple bases its belief “regarding personal
health…on the best scientific understanding of the world,
regardless of the religious or political beliefs of others,” it
claims that state-mandated information with no basis in
scientific fact violates its “religious” beliefs.

I think this is stupid. A person can make life ending decision
without knowing all the facts? Nothing in the current laws says
she need to read all the information, just that she needs to
have been given the information. I can next see the lawsuit, a
women suing because she had an abortion but wasn't given the
paperwork. I'm not even sure how you can compare this to the
Hobby Lobby case. A perfect example of a frivolous lawsuit.
What a mess the Obama care mandate has made.
I'm not seeing where any rights are being violated here like in
the Hobby Lobby case.

The case is based upon their (religious) belief in making
decisions based on scientific fact, yet the states are requiring
their women read propaganda. The mandatory "information"
provided by the state has a pro-life agenda, not based entirely
in fact.
You think it's frivolous, but that's exactly the point. Plenty
of folks also thought HL was frivolous.
Here's the problem => The Government has now put itself in the
business of deciding which religious beliefs to take seriously
and which to not. There is a big 1'st amendment problem there.

I'm still not seeing where the violation is any kind of rights.
Maybe you can point this out.

I just did point it out TS. Here it is again:
The Satanic Temple bases its belief “regarding personal

Requiring they make health decisions based on state-mandated
right to life propaganda instead of scientific fact (free from
religious or political tainting) violates their religious
beliefs.
Recall the SCOTUS has basically said if you call something a
religious belief, then the government has to recognize it as
such. Merely filling out the paperwork for an exemption
violates a religious belief. (Wheaton College).
The bar has been set very, very low. This is merely the first
case of a stampede getting ready to jump over.

They are free to make their decision based on scientific fact.
Just because they're given "state mandated information" doesn't
mean they have to read it or let it affect their decision. You
still have a choice Much different than the Hobby Lobby case.
Hobby Lobby was forced to provide birth control they said they
didn't believe in, they had no choice. Big difference.
What's next? Are they going to sue the motel that has Gideon's
Bible in the drawer?

Me thinks they are more interested in getting an article in the
paper than actually filing a lawsuit.
To file a lawsuit they will need to find a specific claim
mandated by a specific State that they object to, apparently
they have not bothered to do that. If it looks to have merit,
the State will have plenty of time to change a word or two in
the mandated material.
I think it would be great if they try, it's a wonderful thing
when citizens challenge our government about everything they do.
