Harry Reid today says that the border is secure. I'm happy to
hear that, we just saved $3.7 billion dollars. Apparently the
"humanitarian crisis" every one has been talking about is over.

Well that was easy. Maybe next he'll say the country is at full
employment, poverty has been eliminated, Israel and the
Palestinians are having a joint block party and we've found a
shot that cures cancer overnight. Poof* done.

I would love to see Harry Reid tell this family that the border

Speaking of crickets chirping. This thread is a great example.
We need to secure our border. This latest killing is a great
reason why. ISIS threatening to raise their flag over the White
House is another.

Another great example of crickets chirping is Congressional
action on the border problem.

You are aware that it requires two parties to have "partisan"
anything? One of them just happens to be the president party. :(
Twenty five year ago some crazy looking daytime TV guest was
telling his sob story were he had been followed by a pair of
police officers for about twenty blocks. When they finally
caught up to him their explanation was something a an "amputee"
had committed a burglary and they thought he might know
something about it. ???
He then proceeded to file and win a harassment suit against the
NYPD. :)
After that he became some sort of civil right advocate and in
that capacity he made a very profound statement: EVERY TIME YOU
MAKE (A) NEW LAW YOU CREATE NEW CRIME! :o
This is what I think about ever time people complain about
Congress "not getting doing its job." ;)

Neither party is really interested in securing the southern
border, anyways. They'll make noise about it, spend money on
big projects that never seem to quite do the job.
The sad ugly truth is that the Ag sector needs cheap labor to
work the fields and farms, and you aren't going to get Americans
to bust their @sses, 12 hours a day/no benefits/temp work only
in the sun for about $8/hr.
