The border is secure

This article from 2011 will be remembered much like other Obama
mistruths from the past like
Iraq is stable
If you like you doctor you can keep your doctor
The attack was sparked from the outrage of a video.
[quote]Instead, he made the case that with more Border Patrol
agents, a border fence and falling crime rates, he has checked
border security off the to-do list, and it’s time for Congress
to write a legalization bill - an issue that has stalled since
2007, when it failed in a dramatic bipartisan filibuster on the
Senate floor.
“We have gone above and beyond what was requested by the very
Republicans who said they supported broader reform as long as we
got serious about enforcement. All the stuff they asked for,
we’ve done,” he said.

Even our DHS Secretary can't answer a simple question from Obama
friendly NBC on Meet the Press.

Mean while, the Presidents boss, Valerie Jarrett sent Rick Perry
a letter saying he was shamed into having a meeting with him
while he is there. Ironically Perry is the only politician that
wants to be seen with Obama. Obama's still refusing to go to
the border and see the mess he's created (calling it an
immigration situation. Interesting choice of words).
Meanwhile pundits and those in his own party are calling this
"Obama's Katrina". I tend to disagree with this analogy, Bush
didn't create Katrina. Obama OTOH created this.
The media is going to be allowed to go to one of these refugee
centers next week but all you can do is look. You can't record
anything, you can't ask questions, you can't talk to the
staff.....

Just like in North Korea. The few Foreign Press members that are
allowed to enter the Country are assigned " Mentors" . To make
sure they speak to no one other then who the Government wants
them to.

The Presidents stance on this crisis is getting more laughable
by the day. He's refusing to go to the border because he
doesn't want to do a photo op. You know, like the day before,
the photo op of him shooting pool and drinking beer. He now
states that it's the republicans responsibility to cleanup the
mess at the border. I find myself asking, did he lose his pen
and his phone? He's spent this entire term bragging about how
he's going around Congress, now he expects Congress to cleanup
his mess??
Finally, he won't deploy the National Guard to the border,
calling it a temporary measure. Anyone with a lick of
leadership experience knows, in time of crisis you employ
temporary measures to help handle the crisis, then work out a
long term solution. But to assume our President has leadership
experience would be giving him too much credit. Lets not forget
how many times this Senator took a firm stand by voting
"present".

I heard they're setting up a refugee camp near Chicago. I think
that's a very good idea and more should be set up there. If
they thought things were bad in their country...
This could be the incentive we need to stop the rapid influx of
illegals.

Good call. Baltimore and Philly next. That border fence will
get built ASAP, with the barbed wire on the other side, lol.

Right?? I watched some illegal get interviewed today. She was
talking about all the days she was only able to get one meal and
those days she wasn't able to get a meal at all. It was a
little hard to believe when the lady's BMI looked like it was
easily in the 30%-40% range hands down (obese to morbidly obese
to those who don't understand BMI). You don't get that high by
starving yourself or by missing that many meals.
