In an attempt to calm the fears of the citizens living in or
around Wisconsin Rapids, DHS has determined that masquerade
caskets vaults as planters to "beautify" the city. As a person
on the street noted," As the dissenters "leave" the area, so do
the vaults!" ;)

In Weston we have these square cement pillars with a huge W with
flag poles that come out that have ugly flags changed for each
different season. Each town has their own "beauty" I guess

They are at all main intersections coming into Rapids. Now
then, if you HAVEN'T NOTICED them by now, I think we should be
worried about you attentiveness while driving Rapids. ;)

Rapids go down Baker Drive to see them. It might be fun to
decorate those come Halloween.

When I first saw them I thought they were ugly.
Now that they have flowers in them... I still think they are
ugly.
I also think they are a safety hazard. Can you imagine if some
one were to jump the curb { and that happens a quite a bit here
in Rapids, all the elderly drivers} and hit one of those things?

Maybe the City plans on making some money off them.
For a price you can "adopt" one of those crypts and be laid to
rest on your favorite intersection .

I think the flower boxes are nice---one of the things I notice
when traveling around the state are local decorations--enjoy
seeing the the different ideas that towns/cities have about
'beautification'--signs, flags and flowers are usually kinda
unique ways to set your self apart from another town
