Lerner's emails disappear!

This is so obvious it's funny! I wonder if they were able to
make this public with a straight face. No cover up here folks,
nothing to see (cause we hid it). Comparable to "the dog ate my
homework". ;D ;D ;D :D :D :D

The emails disappeared due to a hard drive crash. I've had hard
drive crashes in the past, yet every time my computer has been
repaired I'll sign on to my email account and lo and behold the
emails are still there. It also just so happens this crashed
hard drive was immediately recycled. The administration must
think the American people are about a dumb as your average NRA
hating liberal! ;D ;D ;D ;D

There are 1001 ways to configure an enterprise email server.
I've done quite a few of them.
Some clear the email from the server once the client downloads
it to his workstation. Saves storage space.
If that workstation then crashes, the emails, along with
anything else on the client's hard disk, are gone. That's what
the IRS claims happened.
What makes no sense is that the IRS is subject to
Gramm-Leach-Bliley, so there should be an unalterable backup
kept somewhere, robust enough to survive a disk crash. They
require it of any organization that handles taxpayer data. For
<drum roll> accountability purposes.
They also require RFS hard drives be shredded to ensure data
security. Seems they followed that part of the rules.
No big surprise, when the feds want to destroy evidence of
their own wrongdoing the law does not matter, they just do it.
You may recall this happening to the tune of 22 million White
House emails during an investigation involving a certain
previous administration? They ripped the entire system out and
replaced it, lol. Preservation order be damned.
No, not saying that makes it OK.
Just that this behavior is SOP for the feds, and if we really
want it to stop we need to make a big deal of it when it's our
own guy doing it too. The feds are more than happy to keep it a
partisan issue, knowing nothing really has to change that way.

One would expect a little more than this obvious cover up from
the self proclaimed "most transparent administration in
history". Then again, I haven't heard this line used by them
for a while. :D :D ;D ;D

The article shows where Sonasoft brags "If the IRS uses Sonsoft
product to backup their servers, why wouldn't you choose them to
protect your servers?"
Today, that's hardly a glowing endorsement for this company.

This isn't the “the dog ate my homework".
This is the dog ate my hard drive then he broke into another
building. Ate the backup of the hard drive there.
Then he broke into six other top officials’ offices and ate
their hard drives too.
