Well, there goes Iraq.

Al Qaida knocking off city after city, mass-beheadings,
residents fleeing by the thousands while the US-trained Iraqi
forces drop their weapons and run.
I guess our choices are to either pat ourselves on the back for
clearing out Iraq for Al Qaida's use, or to go back in and clean
up the mess. And probably stay there. Forever. >:(

We won't be there anytime soon for obvious reasons. Sure is
nice to see Al Qaida on the run though isn't it?
That last line coming from the administration who thinks
releasing five war criminals and letting them return to
Afghanistan means they can no longer harm Americans. Forgetting
history where they harmed Americans on the USS Cole from
Afghanistan, or planned 911 from Afghanistan. What a bunch
foreign policy genius's we have at the top.
All that training we did in Iraq, when the going got rough all
the soldiers we trained dropped their weapons, stripped off
their uniforms and left it all for the Taliban. Must have gone
to the Bergdahl military training school.

Why does everything have to be OUR battle? I've said it before
and I'll say it again....let the Middle East blow each other to
bits. It's not our business, and it's not our fight.

I don't see anyone calling for us to intervene. This is an
event of their own making. They refused to sign a SOFA
agreement but now want us to start doing some droning to help
them out. Screw em.
Now the price of gas is going to go up right before I leave on
vacation ???

It is like I have said from the beginning all those years ago.
Long before I got on these forums
We should have never removed Saddam from power.
It threw the power balance off in the Middle East
He was mean enough to keep them in line.
I don't understand...... Obama said Al Qaida was done.
What he lied again??

Your whole post is right on Snickers. Saddam kept Iran in check
and kept terrorist groups out of his country He was a brutal
dictator who killed many of his own countrymen but under the
circumstances I'm not sure if they would have been worse off
than what they are now.

I agree with you. You cannot apply American ideals to a country
that is nothing like America, nor wants to be. Saddam was
what he was because that's what works over there.
Yeah Snickers, Obama got it wrong. Then again so did Bush II,
and badly. We should have just kept him contained to his own
borders like Bush 1 did.
TS, Enjoy your vacation!

I feel your pain with the high priced diesel too---even the
Harley gets expensive to fill--$22 and change the other
day--guess we will never see $.18/gal gas again ;)

Yeah but, I'll bet your Harley will go as far on your $22 as my
truck will on $81.
I listened to what Obama aid on Iraq yesterday. They're going
to do an investigation on it, and there will be consequences for
those responsible.
