The parade of incompetence continues. You cant make this stuff
up.
The State Department’s Counter Terrorism (CT) Bureau
apologized on Tuesday for promoting a controversial Muslim
scholar whose organization has reportedly backed Hamas and
endorsed a fatwa authorizing the murder of U.S. soldiers in
Iraq.
The apology came on the heels of a Friday Washington Free Beacon
report detailing the CT Bureau’s promotion of Sheik Abdallah Bin
Bayyah, the vice president of a radical Muslim scholars group
that was founded by a radical Muslim Brotherhood leader who has
called “for the death of Jews and Americans.”
While Bush Jr. was in office I thought he was incompetent.
But he was no where near as incompetent as Obama is.

That's the point exactly. Next guy will make Obama look like a
beginner.

If you wish to think exposing a buck private pushing a pencil
behind a desk in Virginia is the same thing as exposing a five
star general in the field is the same thing, that's ok with me.
Most everyone else can see the difference.

Athens and Brussels are not in Virginia. Plame didn't work in
VA until 1997.
And a covert CIA operative is just that. They are useless to
the agency after being outed regardless of location.
Why the excuses for the Republican leak? It's suddenly OK
to out a covert CIA agent as long as they are working in the
USA?

Right, and she was exposed in 2003. Time to set up the straw
man again.
I never said it was ok. I said there was a big difference
exposing a general in the field to a private in the office. But
you're right. The Plame case must have been more serious. When
she was exposed Congress was calling for heads to roll, a
Congressional hearing, charges to be brought. Now all you hear
is, meh.
Let's not also forget, the Obama administration exposed the
station chief in Pakistan in 2010 and had to replace him. It
seems they didn't learn their lesson there either

You are aware that covert CIA operations were made illegal by
the government itself during the Carter administration? For
years that was controversial move for pro and con alike. Did I
miss someone lifting this ban? ??? If this is still in place
and domestic covert operations ARE going on :o well now, that is
real can of worms. ;)

They also basically turned in the doctor who helped us get Bin
Laden to the Pakistani's.
They revealed his identity and have done nothing to get him
out of prison.
How will America ever be able to recruit help in the future
now?

No, I can't see into the future. I can see that each president
lately is worse than the last, and that the reasons why that
happens haven't been fixed. So...I expect it will continue.
