More outrage

The President is outraged at the conduct of the VA and promised
a "swift reckoning" I assume this is the new code phrase for
"consequences". I hope this "outrage" draws more of a reaction
and this doesn't turn out to be a "phony scandal" six months
down the line. Our vets deserve better than this.

His body language indicated that he was FORCED to give this
press conference and it annoyed the hell out of him.

If recent history has taught us anything, it's that this
investigation will carry on for months, nothing will happen,
nobody will lose their job and six months or so down the line
democrats will accuse republicans of using this as a "political
tool" against the democrats and may even use the term "phony
scandal" when referring to it.

Lots of outrage and finger pointing all around, but fairly
little to address the central issue which is more about
logistics than any mismanagement.
The current system (which is currently transitioning to a faster
electronic format) cannot handle the rising amount of claims,
its just numbers. Its simple as that.

Concealing the problem is mismanagement. Creating secret
waiting lists is not only mismanagement but is dishonest and
does a disservice to our vets. The people they are supposed to
serve dying because of it is a tragedy.
