This guy really is a racist

Those of you who have known me for any length of time know I
hate it when others throw out the race card. However, Los
Angeles Clippers owner Donald Sterling IMO is a racist after
hearing statements he made about blacks over the weekend. It's
also come out that he has also settled lawsuits in the past for
his biased behavior against blacks. So knowing all that we know
now, I find myself asking, why was the NAACP going to give
Sterling a second lifetime achievement award?

The word racist has little meaning anymore after the liberals
have abused it so badly.

So Sterling has received a lifetime ban from the NBA and is
being forced to sell the team. I'll play devil's advocate here
and ask why? He's simply guilty of speaking stupidly during
what was supposed to be a private conversation with his ex. She
OTOH recorded their conversation without his permission and
released it to TMZ. The guy is a racist. We've known this for
at least the past five years. What's changed?

From what I understood this is not his first racist incident. A
few years ago there was a justice department investigation that
resulted in an out of court cash settlement. Sterling somehow or
another managed to receive a lifetime achievement award from the
NAACP an was set to receive another, which now has been
rescinded.(Remind you of BP about to be given an award for
environmental friendliness just prior to he Deep Water Horizon
disaster) Speaking of the NAACP they are already saying they are
open to forgiveness, which oddly enough Sterling has shown no
inclination of asking for. Is it just m or does the NAACP appear
to have turned racism into a shakedown racket? Racist
(cha-ching) not a racist :o Racist (cha-ching) we can forgive
you! ::)

think the only reason that I'm semi-ok with the ban is that he
violated the nBA rules he signed when he bought the team some
20 yrs ago--what really made him all the money is his gambling
complex in Macao--supposedly 22,000 employees and more revenue
than the Las vegas strip---enough for him to have 2 personally
equipped 747's--think his girlfriend<?> set him up also!

Linda, he is a dumb racist bass-turd. This has been common
knowledge for years.
To WMD's post, 2009 Sterling was fined millions of dollars for
his racist motivations, yet the NAACP still aw fit to bestow a
lifetime honor on him. (funny, the "lifetime honor" has been
revoked and he's still alive). You got it right. It all comes
down to cash.
2fat, I'm "Semi-ok" with this as well but still have a problem
with the circumstances. If law enforcement would have gotten
the information the same way his ex did they would have been
accused of entrapment and subject to legal action. Yet nobody
questions the motives behind the gold digger in question.

NBA looked the other way. NAACP was going to give him his 2nd
lifetime achievement award. But his bigoted commentary was well
known and had been going on for a long time. That it was exposed
to the greater public forced these groups to finally act. It
says a lot about what motivates them both.
What is said here pretty much calls them all out as they should
be

I wanted to se a more liberal spin on this discussion so i went
to the other forum, it looks like they have blocked public
access to what they consider their insiteful, intelligent
discussions. I wonder what they are afraid of others seeing that
they feel the need to hide? :o

Linda her recording Sterling without his consent appears to be
illegal. Starlings bigoted views and a actions have been well
documented. He was even sued by the Justice Department twice
over his discriminatory housing practices but people turned a
blind eye as long as he was giving them cash. His charity gave
money to the NAACP so they were all set to give him another
lifetime achievement award (I would like to know what they saw
that they found him he was honorable enough to be honored for
two lifetimes?). This guy was enabled to carry on with his
actions as long as his money flowed to them. Once it stopped
then these people decide he is objectionable. This woman is no
different. She was willing to suck his dick as long as she got
paid, now she needs to find a new paycheck so she gets a
conscience? This guy should have been exposed a long time ago,
but the other dick suckers liked his money also, that includes
NBA officials who looked the other way for a long time

Exactly right! This shows the likes of the NAACP and Rev Al to
be exactly what they are. Money grubbing w-h-o-r-e-s, willing
to turn their backs on what they find distasteful as long as the
money is flowing. The ex is just a low. She tolerated his
views as well until her paycheck was cut. Cmon, he's 81 she's
38. What could she possibly see in him?
