       This day in history

Thought it would be a nice thread to pot things of interest
       music, history etc.
Today in 1961 Bob Dylan broke into the music industry. He
recorded his first gig playing harmonica on a Harry Bellafonte
       tune.
Just thought I'd throw this in as well.

Gay people are born that way. Nobody would CHOOSE to be treated
       like they get treated.
They feel no differently than we would if someone came up to us
and told us that if we TRIED hard enough...or PRAYED hard
enough...we could learn to love someone of the same sex.

I put it up because it shows how attitudes have changed over the
past 20 years or so. Same as the Sterling thread. twenty years
ago there would have been groups that ran to his defense. Today
all you get is condemnation and rightfully so!

Absolutely. I know gays who fought what they were for decades,
refusing to admit to themselves that they were gay, not wanting
to be gay. Failed marriages, the whole works.
My opinion is that God created gays, same as he created everyone
else. It's a test of our Christianity, whether we treat and
accept them as equals, or not. Including equal treatment under
       the law.
