       Technical Difficulty
By: luvcats Date: April 11, 2014, 8:44 pm

I attempted to change my picture and now I do not have anything.
I went to forum profile. I chose upload an avatar. I selected
the one I wanted. Then I scrolled down to change forum profile.
The screen changed and it went all white. Then I had to log in
       again. What can I do?

Today I am having a computer problem with a box that is popping
up on the bottom. Any time I switch to another area I get a
message that says, Internet Explorer has modified this page to
       help prevent cross-site scripting.

Sounds to me (a non expert) like something you may have
downloaded a program that corrupted your IE. You may want to
look into a pop up blocker or remove any recent programs you've
added. If you're going to go with a pop up blocker don't use
       Ka-boom. Junk.

That is a feature in newer versions of IE. If you don't want to
use it, you can disable cross-site scripting blocking with the
       instructions here:
  HTML http://social.technet.microsoft.com/Forums/windows/en-US/eb30323a-94f9-4417-905c-6a44ca8b0efc/internet-explorer-has-modified-this-page-to-prevent-cross-site-scripting-why-is-this-coming-up?forum=itprovistaapps
       Cheat Sheet:
       a. Open Internet Explorer.

       b. Click on Tools and then on Internet Options.

       c. Switch to Security tab.

       d. Select Internet Zone.

       e. Click on Custom Level.

       f. Under Scripting, select the radio button “Disable” under
       Enable XSS filter.

       g. Save the changes by clicking on OK.

I have a pop up that won't go away from my anti virus. There is
a long address that I am not sure I should type out. The IP
       address with it is 68.67.152.57

That address is a known ad server. Does your AV give you the
       option to clean it up?

I ran the anti virus and came back on and I got that pop up
again. I shut down and the computer did an update. I just came
on again and I no longer see it. I called Zaxx's where I got the
computer and anti virus and they wanted me to bring it in and
charge a lot of money to look at it. I mentioned that when I
called a month ago to empty the computer out (I think it is
called optimization) they wanted a lot less money. I guess Zaxx
still owns the place but as far as I am concerned I think his
       business took a dive.

I made the mistake of going there Zaxx's last year.
Asked them about some issues. They didn't have any real answers
       .
       My impression. Not too knowledgeable.
Bought anti virus software from them.... Crap..... Junk.
Went to Best Buy this spring and bought Webroot.
       Night and day difference.
