This is a great list forming :)
American Beauty is one of my all time favourites, and speaking
of Sam Mendes....
Kate Winslet makes amazing choices in her career;
I particularly recommend;
Iris (2001) -Relationships/Soulmate
The Life of David Gale (2003) -Justice
Finding Neverland (2004) -Grief
Little Children (2006) -Fidelity
Revolutionary Road (2008) -identity & relationships/soulmate
Carnage (2011)...although the PLAY it's based on; [God of
Carnage] is better.....- Parenting
and the HBO series Mildred Pierce. -Identity, parenting, Desire
Plus she plays Ophelia in one of my favourite film adaptations
of Hamlet (1998)- I can't put Hamlet in one category!

I am making a list of movies (attached) helping to connect with
painful emotions per theme or category of emotions, movies that
can make us feel our anger, fear, shame and grief.
- soulmate
- gay
- inspiring / God
- Madness and denial
- Trigger of fears (spirit attack, anger, violence, abuses,
etc)
- Friendship, fun and adventure
- Spirit world
etc
In which category would you range your last movies?

I also thought Insidious (first one) was good. But can be too
intense for some people to connect to their fears, instead they
may go into a shock (an overdrive of the feeling) instead of
feeling themselves.
Also "the Awakening", about our fears to accept what we see,
even if it's a spirit. I found it had an element of surprise as
well as more of a truthful representation of things.

Thanks Lena. Her is the last update of the emotional movies
list.
I know AJ made started a movie list with a lot of movies
triggering fears but can't find it. If anybody can find and post
it, I'll add them to this list.
