Quack Addresses Rumors
DIR By: @ChikarANON
Date: July 23, 2013, 11:51 pm
---------------------------------------------------------
"I don't normally deviate in this way, but I would like to take
this opportunity and this forum to say this about things
recently perhaps said or written: My wife has never had any
ownership or control over the company CHIKARA Incorporated. For
more than seven years, she's supported the creative endeavors of
CHIKARA wholeheartedly and anything out there to the contrary
being implied is misinformation and any claim to the contrary
are lies. To anybody perpetuating stuff like that, please, stop.
Alright? Enough of that.
This is from the GBEC podcast posted today, "CHIKARA" is a topic
in the description and I was going to transcribe whatever was
said. I'll update if there's more, but literally 2 seconds after
Quack finished they started talking about Beyonce getting her
hair stuck in a fan.
... Aaand they're pretty deep into Wrath of Khan, which will
probably last the rest of the show. (Sorry, took a long break in
the middle because the Devastation Corp followed me gave me a
name: THORN VON COARSEROUGH!!! Which I'm not ashamed to say made
me pee myself with joy, but only a little...)
Anyway, good to hear him finally refute all that horse-hockey.
Now: Let's Get Cray-zay!!!
1. "CHIKARA Incorporated" I don't know what the CHIKARA is
defined as legally, it appeared as though "5-Star Promotions"
was the company/business name (probably for tax purposes?) at
least before the WMD buy-out. But "Incorporated" could refer to
CHIKARA being swallowed up into a big multi-national
conglomerate. But maybe small businesses can just call
themselves "Incorporated" and it's just jargon. I don't claim to
be a lawyer. (hint: sometimes I do)
2. He doesn't seem to address CHIKARA as something that's
non-existent in the present, then again the wording is vague
enough that it could be interpreted many different ways.
The plot thins... but in a good way. To get rid of an obnoxious
ripple or something. (the "plot" is water in that metaphor,
right?)
EDIT: I posted a truncated version in 2 parts on twitter, but it
should be pretty clear to anyone following the goings on twitter
what it means. I only posted the latter half or so, any further
mention of the dude's family is a disgrace.

i also think there is no truth to the financial problems either
as i have previously stated. i wish he would have put that to
rest as well.

just for the record, "Inc." can be used by a small business. I'm
actually on the board of a corporation, and I'm as far from suit
and tie guy as it gets haha

Okay I thought that might be the case, still, it seems to
discuss CHIKARA as the actual thing and the "thing" that was
destroyed by Titor, right?
And Loki, I had also assumed that the financial problems were bp
because CHIKARA is a privately owned small business and doesn't
have to report their finances to anyone. And I am
1000000000000000000% certain that no one in the dirt sheet
racket has the journalistic wherewithal to do any real research
like calling state athletic commissions or the insurance
companies. What were your thoughts?

I'm glad he addressed the rumors regarding his wife because that
kind of stuff has nothing to do with any story or whatever going
on that people outside his family need to be involved with. I
think he ignored it as long as he could but had to finally put
it to rest to get people to button their lips and stop spreading
rumors.
As for the financial thing... that can still be storyline
fodder, so he certainly doesn't need to say anything anyway.
That stuff is fine if people want to speculate because that's
not going to impact his personal life and relationships like the
rumors of his wife do.

I'm glad he finally put that to rest. Hopefully, we won't have
to hear about it anymore and we all can get back to more
important things.

the financial rumors are false. There is just no way Joshimania
alone could have done as much damage as they were claiming. It's
impossible. Especially considering the huge moves they have made
sense. Things companies don't do when they are hurting
financially.
As far as Quack divorce rumors....it's hard to say. Keep in mind
that Quack keeps kayfabe like no other and that especially
applies to his personal life. There is plenty of proof of that
floating around out there. Careful what you believe when it
comes from Quack. I think it's a subject he just doesn't want
out there in the open for obvious reasons. Do I think
relationship problems exist? Probably. Do I think they are
responsible for Chikara's current status. No. I think a lot of
things have lead to what Quack is trying to do. I think he
needed a break for whatever reason (really not our business). I
think he created the PERFECT scenario to take a break and
accomplish something that has never been done before. I hope
everything is ok with him personally but I'm always going to be
hesitant to believe anything Quack has to say. I just take it
with a grain of salt as they say. I think in this situation,
he's being "As honest as he can". But I also know he's worked us
before on that same podcast.
It's nice to hear from him though and he's definitely got a
master plan & it seems to be working.

based on personal experiences with business's (sadly more than
one) going through hard times and/or closing completely what
chikara did is pretty much the exact opposite of what a company
would do if it were really in financial distress. if it were
just financial problems and not part of a storyline there were
tons of ways quack could have changed things to increase the
profitability of chikara. pretending to sell off assets was the
only thing they did storyline wise that made sense. a real
company would do that but as far as we are aware they never
actually sold anything. they claimed they auctioned off the tag
titles and yet no one has said they have them. it is more
likely quack is just holding on to them until the reboot is
ready for them. they were never really for sale which i
suspected all along. in fact it was the main reason i contacted
"anton" about buying the world title in the first place. i
offered him 5k on the spot for it and then suddenly he could not
find it. he was working us. obviously. they removed tons of
items from the store and only marked a select few down for sale.
again totally the opposite of what a company would do if it were
trying to bring in revenue. i could honestly go on and on but
the vibe i got from this whole situation was actually the exact
opposite. that chikara was doing so well it could afford to take
a couple months off with out damaging the bottomline. getting
the wrestling is stuff up and running allowed the wrestlers to
make money while this storyline ran or they had the option to
wrestle elsewhere like donst or dunkerton.
*sorry for my excessive use of the word opposite. i could not
think of a viable synonym.

It would appear odd that he only commented on it now when those
rumors have been circulating since May. In the quote he only
speaks highly of his partner, so I'm curious where you found
proof. I really don't want to go down this rabbit hole, but I've
briefly looked into laws regarding the public availability of
divorce records and it seems as though most states require proof
of identity as a participant in the legal action to view those
records. Could you send me a private message of the proof you've
found? (even though I'll probably immediately regret getting
this deeply involved)
