Latvia, Lithuania, Estonia, Azerbaijan, Moldova...

All are countries with champions in the Wrestling Is promotions.
And all, perhaps relevantly, are also former Soviet Socialist
Republics as part of the USSR.
When the Soviet Union fell, they became independent countries.
If the Proud Oak is Archie, could our various international
heroes be other exiled members of the CHIKARAverse? Those who
broke away, as it were, from the Soviet Union that was
Wink/Titor influenced CHIKARA?

Just check the Wrestling is Fun website and the Proud Oak's
profile is down. It just links to the Thunderfrog's profile. If
you enter the url that should be for the Proud Oak, it takes you
to the 404 Not Found Page.

Proud Oak's profile is no longer feature on Wrestling Is Awesome
either. Interesting.

But I think this theory is still a really good one. I think you
should go for it Puncyclopedia - keep researching it. I think
pointed out an interesting parallel. Awesome work!

I'm working on it when I can -- finally got employed again after
a long drought recently, so less time to ponder things.
Looking into my Soviet history notes again from college -- I DO
know that Latvia/Lithuania/Estonia were notably unhappy with
being in the USSR and were among the first to rebel when things
went south in the late 80s/early 90s.

Us in Estonia, yes. But so many suffered, yet unable to speak
up. And those who did, were not heard from again.

It was many long years that our countries had to survive under
rule of evil dictators. Nazi Germany controlled much before
Soviet Russians took their place. Now we are liberated and free
again :)
Not even 20 years ago, it was near impossible to come to this
great nation of freedom. This is land of opportunity, indeed.

Congrats on the new job Pun! I understand where you're coming
from - I try to squeeze in research/writing where I can, but
it's hard. Darn work getting in the way of wrestling! LOL.
I guess it's fair to say that our Baltic Friends are essentially
freedom fighters then? I respect that. Freedom from dictatorship
is worth fighting for, as is peace and free speech.
Evan and Mickael - Do you know anything about Mr. Azerbaijan or
the Moldovian Boar? They appeared in Wrestling is Fun last
month, but not much was said about them? Perhaps you've heard
something about them in your travels?

Is Heart, is too far! But I hope to attend an event soon.
Perhaps Easton? If not, then event in Gardens state.
