HTML https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Ohaguro
Ohaguro
Ohaguro (お歯黒) is a custom of dyeing one's
teeth black. It was most popular in Japan until the Meiji era.
Tooth painting is also known and practiced in the southeastern
parts of China, Pacific Islands and Southeast Asia. Dyeing is
mainly done by married women, though occasionally men do it as
well. It was also beneficial, as it prevented tooth decay, in a
similar fashion to modern dental sealants.
In Japan, Ohaguro existed in one form or another for hundreds of
years and was seen amongst the population as beautiful until the
end of the Meiji period. Objects that were pitch black, such as
glaze-like lacquer, were seen as beautiful.

Harford County John Doe
The body of an Asian man, aged twenty to thirty, was located on
January 9, 1987 in Abingdon, Harford County, Maryland. He was
murdered days before, by a gunshot wound to the chest. His body
was abandoned at the side of a highway and was bound, wrapped in
plastic and then covered with a sheet. He was around five feet
five to five feet seven inches tall at an approximate weight of
134 pounds. The man had several scars on his face, one near his
upper lip and four on the top of his head, which had healed. The
victim had black, straight hair and brown eyes. He wore a pair
of reddish and white nylon swim trunks that had a blue stripe
and brown lining. By studying his teeth, which had no signs of
dental care, it is presumed that he had a habit of using tobacco
products. His case has been published in Asian media, which has
ultimately been unsuccessful to develop any more clues to his
identity or killer.
