Unidentified female found on the south side of Chicago. Her body
was found in a vacant wooded lot in an isolated area off S.
Indiana AV near 130th Street and railroad tracks. The female had
been deceased for several years, possibly as long as 8 years
before being found. An anthropologist examined the remains and
reported the female was Caucasian but may have an admixture with
Mongoloid heritage. She is 12-18 years old and had a slender
build standing between 5'00-5'05" tall.

Skeletal remains of an unidentified female were found on April
28, 2005 on the south side of Chicago. Her body was found in a
vacant wooded lot in an isolated area off S. Indiana Ave near
130th Street and railroad tracks. The female had been deceased
for several years, possibly as long as 8 years before being
found. An anthropologist examined the remains and reported the
female was Caucasian but may have an admixture with Mongoloid
heritage. She is 12-18 years old and had a slender build
standing between 5’00”-5’05” tall. Her hair and eye color could
not be determined. Some of her teeth were absent when she was
found but of the remaining teeth, no dental fillings or cavities
were observed. The images above are a facial reconstruction
completed by an FBI Forensic Artist and depicts what the female
may have looked like in life.

identifying bones of teen girl found in 2005
- The skeletal remains were found near Metra railroad track in
13000 block of South Indiana Avenue on April 28, 2005
- The bones are those of a white female between the ages of 13
and 18 who was strangled to death
Chicago Police are appealing for the public's help in
identifying the bones of a teenage girl that were found in 2005
on the city’s South Side. According to a press release put out
by the police department Tuesday, the skeletal remains were
discovered near the Metra railroad track in the 13000 block of
South Indiana Avenue on April 28, 2005.
Experts have determined that the remains are those of a white
female between the ages of 13 and 18. The news release was
accompanied by a photo showing a facial reconstruction done by
the FBI based on the available scientific data.
The image shows the face of a girl from three different angles;
the young victim is depicted with a straight nose, a strong
square jaw, full lips and wavy hair. According to the Cook
County Medical Examiner’s Office, the victim was strangled and
her death was ruled a homicide.
Anyone who recognizes the victim from the photo is asked to call
Area South detectives at (312) 747-8271, or the medical
examiner’s office at (312) 666-0500.
