The **** body of this unidentified white female was found just
south of Route 146 and west of Arroyo Grande, in Henderson,
Nevada at approximately 2100 hours on October 5, 1980.
Lacerations of the scalp and puncture wounds of the back were
identified.

south of Route 146 and west of Arroyo Grande, in Henderson,
Nevada at approximately 2100 hours on October 5, 1980.

On October 5, 1980, the body of an unidentified white female was
found just south of Route 146, west of Arroyo Grande in
Henderson, Nevada. It is believed she had been deceased for less
than 24 hours prior to the discovery of her body. She had light
brownish-blonde shoulder-length hair and pierced ears. She had a
small tattoo on her right forearm. The tattoo was blue,
approximately ½” x ¼”, and appeared to be homemade. She was
wearing silver colored fingernail polish and had a vaccination
scar on her left bicep. She had a gap between two teeth on the
upper right side of her mouth. The reconstruction featured above
is an artist’s rendering of what the Jane Doe may have looked
like. Anyone with information should contact the Clark County
Coroner’s Office, reference case number 80-01221 or the
Henderson Police Department, reference case number 80-3937.

“Through this lengthy process, we located two of Tammy’s sisters
who were able to confirm her identity when they supplied us with
DNA,” said Captain Jonathan Boucher, Henderson Police
Department. “Tammy’s sisters, I will tell you were tremendously
grateful to finally know what happened to their sister 41 years
ago.”
“Now the pursuit of Tammy’s killer or killers begins,” Boucher
said. “We are seeking the public’s help to bring Tammy’s killers
to justice.”
Terrell was last seen on Sept. 28, 1980. She had been dropped
off at the Roswell State Fair. Around 10 p.m. that evening, she
was seen at a Roswell restaurant with a white man and woman. One
week later, her body was found in Henderson.
Boucher said the case deeply affected the detectives who worked
on it. He said Detective John Williams who initially
investigated it paid for Terrell’s burial and continues to visit
her gravesite yearly on the date of her death. Detective Joseph
Ebert, who took over the case, has put in an “astonishing
amount” of work on the case.

The Henderson Police Department in Nevada has announced the
identification of a female homicide victim found deceased in
1980 as 17-year-old Tammy Corrine Terrell.
Tammy was identified through collaborative efforts between
genealogist Barbara Rae-Venter and investigators from the
Henderson Police Department using advanced DNA testing.
The investigation revealed that Tammy was suspected to have gone
missing from the Roswell State Fair in September 1980. She was
last seen at a restaurant in Roswell, New Mexico on the evening
of September 28th, 1980, with an unidentified white male adult
and white female adult; possibly planning to leave New Mexico
for an unknown destination in California. Tammy was reported
missing to police, but was unfortunately found deceased near
Henderson, Nevada the following month. Investigators learned
that that Tammy was sadly a victim of sex trafficking and was
dealing with a variety of personal struggles.
While we now know who Tammy is, the investigation surrounding
the circumstances of her death continues. Anyone who knew Tammy
or may have information related to the investigation, please
