The victim was located in a wooded area between Ashton Court and
Sarah Avenue in Sarasota, Florida, on February 6, 2007. She was
in a patch of woods with dense underbrush, behind an old auto
body shop. She was buried in a three foot hole. The Medical
Examiner determined that she had been in the ground for seven to
twelve months. Her body showed signs of trauma and skull
fractures that were consistent with homicide from blunt-force
trauma
