       RIVERSIDE COUNTY JOHN DOE: M, 18-25 - Found floating in Canal in
        Mecca, CA - Oct 4 1975

       The canal is controlled with a series of gates. The distance to
       the last gate was about eight miles into the rural community of
       Mecca.  The body was found in the canal face down at the last
       gate.  He was fully dressed with a rope around his neck tied to
       a weight.  His pockets were empty and no identification was
       established

       Place of Death / Found: Found floating in the All American
       Canal, an irrigation canal, in Mecca, CA
       Estimated Age: 20-25 years of age
       Estimated Time Since Death: It is believed that he had been dead
       three days to one week prior to being found.
       Hair / Eyes: His hair was dark brown with unknown eye color.
       Hair Length: The hair was of medium length.
       Height / Weight: He was measured as 6' (72") tall and weighing
       about 185 lbs.
       Features or distinguishing marks: No scars, tattoos or
       disfigurements were found due to condition of the body from the
       water exposure.
       Clothing: He was found wearing blue denim pants and a white
       T-shirt. No shoes, jewelry or identification was found.
       Circumstances: This man died from a blow to his head then placed
       in the water with a rope around his neck attached to a piece of
       iron for a weight. The canal is controlled by a series of gates
       and the distance to the last gate was about eight miles, within
       the rural Mecca area.
