Test Flight

"There! That should do it" Tails announced aloud as he finished
up the final touches on the machines he had been working on.

/>which needed some fix ups after getting some bumps and bruises
from the last time it was used, ok more then just bumps and
bruises... Ok it was blown the bits, but hey! He had it back
together now! "and this time it'll work!" He said proudly as he
wiped his forehead, all this work did get him a bit hot and
bothered.
The second machine was something new, a new invention the fox
had been working on for a while now. Tails grabbed a cleaning
cloth, poured some water on to dampen the cloth slightly, then
cleaned up the new device, "U.T. The 'Universal Translater', Oh
my friends are going to love you! We'll be able to freely talk
to the animals Sonic saves from those robots all the time now"
He nodded looking at his invention as he placed it up on his
work bench, "Different cultural languages will be a sinch to
understand too! Thanks to you U.T." He said to the robot, before
he climbed into his planes pilot seat, pulling his pilot goggles
down over his eyes, and starting the planes engine, He was
feeling pretty good about both of his machines at the moment, he
would check if U.T. Worked after he checked the Tornado.

Tails firmly placed his hands on the wheel to steer the plane,
flicking up a few switches on the front control panel, the plane
started to move forward, and within a few minutes he was in the
air.
His hair blew about in the wind as it rushed past his face,
tickling his fur, he smiled, "This, is why Sonic loves his early
morning runs" Tails said to himself, flicking a few more
switches.
A few minutes into his flight one of the screens on his control
panel started flashing red, "Hmm?"

He looked at the screen, but before he got to read what it was
that was wrong his plane started to spin, luckily Tails always
belts himself in. He started pushing different buttons on the
control panel, trying to keep his plane up in the air and get it
back to flying straight, but nothing was working, and he was
getting closer and closer to the forest grounds.
Tails grabbed hold of the eject pull bar, and he pulled it, at
first it didn't pull at all, the second tug pulled it all the
way out, tails looked at the bar... Well that's just great.

Tails hands went to his belt, he pulled and tugged trying to
unclip it, but it wouldn't unclip, the last second before the
plane collided with the ground, Tails attempted to curl into a
ball, to protect himself as much as he could.Then...

The explosion could be heard near and far as a ground vibrated
from the impact. Someone happened to be on the ground nearby
when the plane crashed...and that someone turned out to be a
certain celestial princess.
The feathers on the back of Dawn's head stood on end as she
turned, only to see the flames from the crash rise into the air.
Frowning, she took to the air, quickly flying over to the crash
site with her claw gripping the hilt of her rapier. Slowing down
as she drew closer, the dragoness could feel her chest tighten
as she flew over bits and pieces of an aircraft of some sort,
charred parts scattered the ground, various spots in the ground
had burns marks and small craters. However, Dawn's eyes widened
when she saw the aircraft lodged into the ground just a few feet
away from her, and a Mobian sprawled out on the ground next to
it.
Gasping, she immediately flies over to the fallen vulpine,
carefully kneeling next to him and lifting his head from the
ground. "నేను
మీరు
సజీవంగా
అని
ప్రార్థన..." she
murmurs, placing her ear to the boy's chest to check if he was
breathing. She could hear a heartbeat...good. But he was
unconscious. A quick healing spell may draw him from it, but
she did not know the full extent of the fox's injuries. She
sighed, propping him up against the hull of the aircraft.

[I]"Ugh. If you want a job done right you've gotta do it
yourself!"[/I]
After his breakfast Alt had ran off with the blonde wolf that he
saw earlier in the day, and with a second scout disappearing
Fiona decided to take the matter into her own hands.
Fiona jumped out of a warp ring only to see a plane going into a
frenzy of a spin. [I]"Well, guess someone decided to bring out
the entertainment."[/I] but as the plane veered close to the
ground she noticed A familiar 'two tails' symbol on the side.
This prompted her to rush towards where the plane had come
crashing down.
[I]"Oh holy hell."[/I] she thought as she got a sight of who was
the pilot.

The yellow fox was unconscious as the celestial princess knelt
beside him and lifted his head, before hearing for his heart,
which was still beeting thankfully.
When she propped him against his broken aircraft hull, he was
starting to come to, he let out a groan and slowly moved his
head to the side.
His everything hurt, but his head was just thumping so loudly
and painfully..
His twin tails twitched as he tried to get up, but everything
was just too painful to do.
Tails opened his eyes slightly, his bright sky blue eyes looking
to Dawn, that's when he noticed someone familiar in the
background, he blinked a few times, everything was still rather
blurry, was he not seeing things right? He couldn't be... Fiona
had left with Scourge... She wasn't coming back...
He sighed and looked back to Dawn, "W...what's your name? Thanks
for... For getting me up" He said softly, before he looked to
Fiona again, she was still there.. But?
He was starting to get the feeling back in his everything, but
it still all hurt, but he needed to know... Was it really her?
He had loved her once upon a time, but had learnt to put it
behind him after she was gone for so many years. But now she was
here?
He started to push himself up, using his double tails for that
extra push, soon enough he was on his feet, his right leg felt
like it was numb or asleep and he found it hard to move it, but
he would manage, his right ear also flopped and looked a bit
bent, his fur was black and charred in a few places too... He
would fix himself up later. "I'll... Be right back" He said to
Dawn, managing a small weak smile, before he started to limpily
walk towards Fiona, trying not to look in as much pain as he
felt, "F..Fiona?"

Dawn began to protest, reaching out towards the vulpine; It was
quite obvious that he was badly hurt and needed rest but...he
seemed so determined to get to the vixen. It seems that the knew
each other...old friends perhaps?
She sighed, letting her arm fall to the side and decided to
watch the boy closely just in case he agitates his injuries
further. She turned back at the aircraft, her tail flicking
against the ground. Curious, the dragoness peered into the
pilot's seat, spotting a first aid kit hanging out of an now
opened hidden compartment. She took it, glancing back over at
Tails; at the very least, the poor boy would have something to
treat his wounds.

[I]"Tails!"[/I] Fiona was thrilled to see the fox that she had
wanted to see since she had came to her senses. In a moment of
completely forgetting about the fact that the guy had been
caught in a plane crash she ran at him and pulled him into a
hug. [I]"Tails. It's been so long."[/I] she got a swift reminder
of his situation by a noseload of smoke and let go of him.
[I]"Okay that wasn't my smartest move. We can save memory lane
for later, let's get you fixed first huh?"[/I] she told the fox,
already regretting her move, first time running into the one guy
that could make the pieces fit and she was hurting him. Great
start there Fi.

Tails looked surprised when Fiona actually answered back, so
she... She was actually here?
Her hug answered that for him, he winced in pain when she hugged
him, but it also gave him a warm comfort that he didn't want to
have taken away from him, but Fiona soon realised that he was
injured and that her hug could be harming him further and let
go, he was tempted to pull her back into a hug, but again he
hurt all over.
He nodded when she said to save talking for later and fixing for
first, slowly pulling his pilot goggles up onto the top of his
head rather then over his eyes, The fur around his eyes was
bright and yellow like his fur usually was while he rest of it
was either black and charred or yellow but dirty.
He turned away from Fiona and back towards his crashed plane and
Dawn, "Th..there's a ... First Aid.. Kit... In...Tornado.." He
said as he slowly made his way back, only to notice that Dawn
had already found it and gotten it out, "Oh" He said rather
weakly, his eyes drooping, "You already found... I...iiiiit..."
He trailed off and sank to his knees beside Dawn and The
Tornado, laying down on his tummy, his Tails falling down too
and staying still. "Soooo tired...." He muttered before closing
his eyes. "Nice... Warm...ground.." Was the last things he said
before he went silent and rather still.

Dawn was at the fox's side in an instant, inadvertently dropping
the first aid kit as she rolled Tails over to his back,
supporting his head so that it was off the ground. She checked
his pulse, relieved to see that he was alive, but, again,
unconscious. Feverishly, she began to treat the cuts and bruises
all over his body, cleaning them with alcohol and wrapping them
in bandages.
She glanced at the boy once she was finished, frowning deeply.
The first aid kit just wouldn't cut it...he needed a healer.
Dawn looked up, her draconic eyes quickly scanning the immediate
area for any signs of civilization. Fortunately, there were what
appeared to be large walls just a few miles from the crash site,
which she hoped a city sat on the other side. The dragoness
looked over at the vixen, gently picking Tails up bridal style.
"His injuries are too severe," she spoke lowly "There seems to
be a city near here - we can take him there where he can be
treated properly,but we must leave immediately."

Fiona ran a hand through her hair. [I]"Greeeeat. Just found him
and it all goes south."[/I] she just sighed. [I]"Well I'm short
stick on other ideas and I think the bucko would want me around
when he comes to, so it looks like I'm stuck with you. Alright
let's get moving."[/I]

Dawn only nodded firmly, before she took off into the air once
more, but stayed close to the ground as she flew towards the
walls, keeping a steady speed so Fiona wouldn't get left behind.
She had to pause a few times, readjusting her hold on the
unconscious boy to ensure he wouldn't slip from her claws.
