       "The Ancients?.." Even Ajax was clueless as to who they were;
but, something seemed familiar. "I... Don't know anything about
the 'ancients', per-se, but I know where we might find that
information. Wait here..." He stood up and headed to the corner
of the room, revealing a small trapdoor under the rug. He opened
it and headed inside, cold air filling the room. It almost
seemed as if a plume of dust should have exploded out of the
concealed cellar, but soon enough he returned with an old
leather bound journal, endless pages of strange written inside.
"I don't know what use it could be, but perhaps this has
information that might answer your question; time skews many
       things."

Amberfeather had seen the scar, and she knew Darken was
obviously hurt worse than implied as he left the room.
But then Ajax brought in a book that she immediately recognized
the writing of the Ancients from, and she skimmed through the
       first few pages.
"A lore book...! How did you get this?" she said in a quiet
surprise to Ajax, and she read a small signature on the bottom
of the first page, and in English.
"Amazin..." she murmured out loud, the name being of one who
helped record the history of Miana when it wasn't exactly
history yet. "This will be useful, if I know what I've missed
after... well, Chaos's destruction of the Echidnas. Anything
past that to before about... 50 years ago..."
       (got sidetracked)

       "It's one of a collection. There's an entire set of the things;
my parents kept this one before... they passed on." He knew very
       well that Hackel was very particular about history and relics;
the other books he knew of were kept in a museum in Miana, and
copies had been made in Damascus that translated it. "The
Dominion has made quite the effort to preserve these; this is
the only one not in the Shaleque Museum. I know Natasha is in
Miana right now, staying with her father; she could probably
take you to the museum where they have translated copies on
display for the public." He knew that would probably be their
best bet at getting more information; that, and Tamwyn would
       want to see Natasha again...

"Yes," both the dark brown hedgehog and amber-winged
hedgephoenix said, before Tamwyn blushed and Amberfeather folded
       her wings.
"So, Miana has translated the lore books. That is good for
Tamwyn to read some of the information to help me, but I think I
should probably read the original if it is possible. I read the
text of the Ancients when I was younger, and plus, I cannot read
English unless it is in hard-to-read cursive, so I am better
with ancient languages and things of that nature. I accept your
suggestion, and I'd like to go around noon tomorrow, so we have
time to prepare. I thank you for your help, Ajax," Amberfeather
said, closing the book in her hands carefully.
"And... I need a change of clothes. Others will think weird of
me if I remain in my cloak any longer."
(She still has her stuff on from 'Catacombs' thread)

Ajax shrugged; the cloak seemed perfectly fine to him. "If you
say so; you could borrow some of Tasha's clothes. They might be
a little large, but they should work." He sprawled out on the
couch again, letting out a sigh. Finally some things were
working out. "Upstairs, room on the left in the closet."

"Yes... okay. I may buy some that will fit me later when I have
time, and when we're done finding that information. Thank you
again, Ajax," the hedgephoenix said, and she went upstairs, and
once she went into the room and to the closet, she looked at
some of the things that Tasha had.
There was a few things that were appealing enough, and she chose
a light green dress that looked a little big, but then she also
chose a tank top. She'd have to modify the back of the dress in
order to have her wings have a bit of freedom, so she closed the
door of the room, and then she changed her clothes, keeping the
boots, and once she came back downstairs, she wore the light
green dress, while the back a was little bit stretched out to
accommodate her wings, and the tank top dealt with what wasn't
covered by the actual dress -just about 4 centimeters of tank
top covered what wasn't covered by the dress in the front-, and
she also had chosen capris to wear underneath the dress.
She held her boots in her left hand, and her hair, once in a
braided halo, now lay down around her shoulders and her back in
multiple braids that counted up to 12 right now.
"Will this be all right?" she asked, wondering if anyone would
       notice when they went tomorrow.
       (delayed)

Darkenlight huffed and snorted at what he heard.
[color=mediumvioletred]Why would you care about what others
think about your attire? Stupid fledgling. he thought as he
       shook his head.

"I heard that, Darkenlight..." Ajax shook his head as well, but
this was actually for her question. "The clothes don't mean
anything, you're fine; appearances are superficial." He stood up
and walked over, tearing a small slit in the back of the clothes
where her Amberfeather's wings came out. "Show your wings with
       pride, lass."

She spread her wings out, but only after muttering a curse word
in the Ancient's language to Darkenlight, and she said, "O-oh...
       just making sure.
I want to make sure that everyone in Miana does not look to me
as if i am weird. I only wish to blend in, Ajax. But yes, you
are right.. and i'd prefer 'Amber'. Lass is a... unfamiliar
word. I know what you mean, but it's just a little odd for
       me..."

"Such language for a mere fledgling," Darkenlight stated as he
slowly came out again. He had his arms crossed as he looked
       Amberfeather up and down.
