Ajax smiled and shook his head. "Wow... Who'd have thought those
dreams actually meant something..." It was all so confusing, the
fact that everything was exactly what they had said in his
dreams. It was mind-boggling, seemingly by divine intervention
of some sort. "This is quite interesting then, heheh..." He
started laughing slowly, eyes closed and face pointed to the
ceiling.

"I don't see how this is funny," Darkenlight replied, yawning a
bit.

Ajax had stopped laughing, but a smile was still on his face.
"It's funny because... We've never met, yet... You already knew
me... and I already knew you... To think on that just makes me
feel like this is all a dream." He dragged his hand along his
face, finally pulling himself together. The confusion he had was
baffling, yet it wasn't... confusing, really. It was more just
dumb luck and strange coincidence, but maybe they had met
before, in some other life. It was truly intriguing.

Darkenlight pinched Ajax's arm with probably more strength than
intended. "Can dreams do that?" he asked with a slight snort at
the end.

"Ow-ow-hey-ey-ey! I said it feels like a dream, not that it is!"
He pulled away for a moment and rubbed his arm; that was
probably going to leave a bruise later, with how hard he pinched
him. "Sheesh, mate, you know that hurts, right?"

"I didn't pinch that hard," Darkenlight replied, with a shrug.
He had a high pain tolerance when it came to minor things like a
pinch. He stifled a yawn, trying not to show that he was tired.

Ajax chuckled with a smirk. "Yeah, right... Well, just get some
rest, alright? Injuries need time to heal." He stood up, popped
his neck, and walked to the door. "I'll be in the other room if
you need me, okay?" He left the door cracked open as he left,
his shadow visible as he worked to start a fire in the old
cobblestone hearth.

Darkenlight slowly got up and opened the door more before laying
back down. His eyes focused on Ajax as they slowly closed.
Wasn't long until soft snores came from him, his wings twitching
ever so often.

Ajax smiled as he heard the light snoring from Darkenlight;
good, the stubborn guy was finally getting some rest to heal up
those injuries of his. As he finally got the fire started, laid
out on the settee and watched the flames flicker and dance about
like a ballet. It was so strange, how this day had turned out,
but it was welcome. He had managed to help someone, someone who
he somehow knew before he met them, and it felt like this was
something that was meant to have happened, for better or worse
or whatever.

Darkenlight awoke a few hours later, yawning and stretching.
His left wing felt stiff as it tried to move to full extent but
met resistance in places, his feathers quivered, sending a
cascade of sparks down them. The sparks fizzled out shortly
after hitting plain air.
