Nothing like a good Chilidog after a long day

A streak of blue followed by a gush of wind sped about the large
city of Mobotropolis, rushing past all the other mobians and
making their hair/fur flow as the gush went past them.
The streak leapt over vehicles, slid under spots if could,
occasionally even bouncing over other people, every so often,
whatever or whomever it was sure was fast!
Suddenly the blur of blue stopped by a hotdog stand in the
middle of a street, the blue blur was in fact the one and only
Sonic the Hedgehog, whom most may already know.
"A dozen Chilidogs with the works pal" He said with a smile, as
he handed over a few rings to the stall owner who nodded and got
right to his order.
While the stall owner was working on his order Sonic started to
walk about the area, not straying too far from the stall so he
could get his meal right when it was ready. Soon a mother and
father with two children, a boy and a girl, walked past the blue
hedgehog, upon seeing the hero the two kids bounced up and down
and ran from their parents sides, going right up to Sonic and
hugging him, He smiled and knelt down, as hey let go and stood
in front of him, both wearing big smiles of their own, "Hey
Kids! How's it going?" He asked, "Good! Good! Mr. Sonic Sir!"
Said the boy, Sonic put a hand on his head, messing up his hair
slightly, which made the boy laugh, "Just 'Sonic's fine Kid" He
nodded, before looking to the girl, "Ive been good to Mr.
Hedgehog!" Sonic laughed, "Same goes for you, just 'Sonic' is
Kool, alright?" He smiled, they nodded, their parents catching
up, and taking their children's hands again, they nodded to
Sonic before walking away the their daughter and son. Sonic
smiled giving a wave as he watched them walk away, shaking his
head slightly, "Kids".
A few minutes later his order was done, another few seconds
later he only had three of the dozen Chilidogs left, with the
last three he chose to eat them elsewhere, somewhere more
peaceful and quiet, he ran until he reached the edge of the
city, giving it a glance back as he walked just a little further
out, closer to where the trees and forest where, finding a good
tree he leant against it and spun one of the three Chilidogs on
the top of his index finger "Nothing like a good Chilidog after
a long day" He said aloud.

A flash of Light Blue and the chili dog on his index finger had
vanished. Madness skidded to a halt a few trees down, still in
sight and held it up. [I]"You're too sloow!"[/I] he said with a
grin trying not to burst out laughing shaking his head and
wandering back over to the blue blur handing it back. [I]"How's
being a full blown hero going for you Maurice?"[/I] he asked him
calling him 'Maurice' instead of Sonic, of course while Sonic
was his father, there was always the odds that this was a
different Sonic to the one that raised him and was married to
Millie, so he decided to play a compromise that showed that he
knew the hedgehog well, but at the same time didn't entirely
give the whole thing away.

Sonic jumped up off of the tree when the Chilidog vanished, he
looked around to spot a light blue Hedgefox holding his Chilidog
up, the comment the boy shouted out made Sonic's hands curl into
fists, "Too slow!? Ha! You forgot who you're talkin' too kid!"
He called back wearing a frown, which half disappeared when the
kid came back and returned his food, his next comment surprised
the hero, it took him a moment to respond, "H..how did you?..
Kid, just call me Sonic, alright?" He said, as he took a bite
from one of the three Chilidogs, he then paused for a moment
before sighing, and chucking one of the other two spare
Chilidogs to Madness, "I like you're speed kid, keep it up, but
do me a favour and only call the people who deserve it, slow" He
said with a slight smile, before he knelt down to Madness' high,
and asked, "So what might your name be? You seem to know me
already, I want to know you"

[I]"heh heh heh heh."[/I] he couldn't help but give his 'father'
a thumbs up. [I]"People call me Madness. Long story short
imagine Tails as a girl and a mother."[/I] This was true, Millie
basically was a female form of Tails from the get go. But he
opted not to mention Sonic being his father, because he didn't
suspect that would fare as well. Sonic could possibly figure it
out, but he didn't expect Sonic to think that much into it.
After all, he could be light blue for a number of reasons. Not
just the result of dark blue plus yellow. [I]"Actually while
you're in one place 'Sonic', as rare as it is, I was wondering
if you'd be interested in helping save a full blown race again
like you did with the wisps?"[/I] He figured that Sonic would be
unlikely to pass up an opportunity to do such a save. After all,
when did the Blue blur pass up the chance to be a hero?

Gabriel finally caught up to to the hedgefox, landing beside
him. He was panting as he is tired as hell from that marathon.
"Anyone got....something to drink?" he asked as he tried to
catch his breath.

"Madness huh?" He said as he stood back up and, placing hand on
the hedgefox's head, ruffled his hair, "Tails as a girl? A
mother?" He questioned looking confused, "You from another
planet? Dimension? Something of the sort? Tails is definatley a
boy" He added.
He then focused on the question he was asked, "Would I be
interested, Kid, do you even have to ask? Where's this race?
Wait.. Interested in helping? Helping?" He crossed his arms, "I
could save the race myself Madness, I don't need help in helping
others, you can tag along if you want though.. If you can keep
up" He smiled, before looking to Gabriel, "Sorry buddy! No
drinks on me".
"HELP!! ROBIN WHERE ARE YOU!?" Shouted out a voice from amoungst
the trees.
Sonic shot off in the blink of an eye, leaving his last two
Chilidogs with Gabriel, "Here, hold these for a minute, I'll be
right back" He said quickly as he went.
Sonic and whomever followed him to the source of the voice would
find a rather small blue female Hedgehog wearing rather bright
and colourful clothing, in the middle of a deep pond in the
middle of the forest, she was kicking and thrashing about in the
water, either she was stuck, or she didn't know how to swim...
Or both.
She eyes went wide seeing Sonic, but she opened her mouth to
call out to him to let him know that her right foot was caught
under a tree root in the water, only for her head to go under,
and for her to get a mouthful of water, which she coughed out
once she got her muzzle slightly back above the water.
Sonic scanned the pond, looking slightly panicked, how could he
save the girl, if he couldn't swim? He always sank like a rock
when he went in water.

Gabriel looked at the chilidogs and gently sat them on a napkin
on a ledge. With that he followed Sonic to the source of the
voice, using the air currents Sonic created to catch up quickly
rather than flapping as hard and fast as he could. He looked at
Sonic after seeing the girl. "I can dive under and free her
foot while you help her out," he said as he took off his pistols
and laid them carefully on the ground along with the extra
rounds in his pockets. Gabriel tucked his wings inside the wing
slits on the back of his trench coat as he waited for Sonic's
answer.

[I]"Nice to know you know about the multiverse theory."[/I]
Madness didn't even seem to think as he took in a deep breath
and dove in curling up into a ball as he did so. Headstrong and
fast to act, like someone else in their current crowd maybe?
Soon enough he was down to where the hedgehog was stuck, though
the waters made it blurry, the brown of the tree root was still
easily distinguishable, not that he looked, he just acted, using
his spin he sliced right through one of the edges of the root
before coming out of the spin and pushing himself back up to the
surface with a few kicks of his feet. Once he was at the surface
of the lake he grabbed one hand of the hedgehog girl and began
to pull her towards the edge of the lake. [I]"Hey, you holdin up
okay?"[/I] he asked her as he used his legs to move them through
the water, it was a lot slower than if on land, and it bugged
him no less, but they were making progress. [I]"There'll be no
giving up here Madness!"[/I] he thought to himself, determined
to succeed in the rescue, unlike Sonic, he had been taught to
swim.

Sonic put a hand behind his head looking to Gabriel, "Yeah we
could do that-" He paused, watching Madness dive in, "Looks like
he's got this" He shrugged, "Hey! Weren't you minding my
Chilidogs?"
Right as Madness dived in the help, the hedgehog went fully
under, unable to keep herself above the waters surface any
longer, she'd managed to get a breath and hold it though,
unfortunately it wasn't a very big breath.
She tried looking around underneath the water for the Hedgefox
that had dived in, the pond's water was murky but she could make
out his light blue and white fur amounts the blurry water, he
appeared to be curled into a ball, like a spin dash, as he
sliced through the root with her foot caught in it. "Spin
dash!?" She exclaimed, only to be reminded that she was still
underwater, as her air came out of her mouth as bubbles and her
mouth was instead filled with the ponds water.
She felt something or someone take hold of her hand, and pull
her up and towards the edge of the lake. Her head was starting
to feel very light, and everything was going black, and it
didn't seem to fix straight away when she even reached the
waters surface, coughing and gasping for air.
Her head was too light and her ears probably had water in them
anyway, she completely missed Madness' question.
The two would soon reach the lakes edge due to Madness efforts,
but before they where fully out, they would both, blue hedgehog
and light blue Hedgefox, find that they where both picked up by
the scruff of their necks, and lifted out of the water.
Sonic was the one who had lifted out the two, Madness in his
left hand and the hedgehog girl in his right, lifting both of
the two off the ground. The hedgehog girl would have trouble
reaching the ground without being placed down, even if she
tried.
She looked over at Madness giving him a 'Thank you' face before
she coughed again, some water dribbling down from her mouth. She
was dripping wet, soaked to the bone, her blue hair plastered to
her face, fur and skin, her tail and ears low, and now that she
was out of e water and in the cool air, she started shivering,
"Don't you ever go diving into things like that again, young
man, you could've gotten yourself stuck as well! You could've
drowned! Did you not even think before you jumped in?" Sonic
asked looking at Madness, he seemed awfully worried about the
young Hedgefox, he gave a sigh of relief! before setting him
down! and messing up the hedgefox's now wet hair, "That aside,
you did a great job, Sport, good work" He added giving him a
light smile before turning to the soaked girl hedgehog.
"How are you doing now Kid?" He asked, "Care to explain how you
ended up in there?".
The hedgehog, put a hand to her head for a moment or two before
trying to speak, "I'm.. Ok.." She said quietly.
"I'm sorry what was that?"
She squeezed her eyes closed and shot him a weak and shaky
thumbs up instead. He got that one. She then seemed to skip over
the other question, looking around wearily, "Robin?" She
blinked, as her vision started to blur, she looked to Madness
and reached out, managing to poke his nose, "Robin? Is that
you?" She asked, blinking again, her vision started to clear and
when she realised it wasn't Robin she sighed, and covered her
face with her soaked white tipped gloves, "Oh where is he?" She
muttered.
Sonic looked to Madness and Gabriel and gave a confused shrug,
along with a look that said, 'Any ideas?'

Gabriel blinked as Madness dove in, sighing he put his pistols
and extra rounds back where he had them. With Sonic's question
about the chilidogs, he became a swarm of bats and went back for
them. Once he had them he came back in the same swarm of bats.
He reformed next to Sonic, holding said chilidogs. "Yes," he
replied.
He looked at the girl before saying, "She might be going into
shock." With that he handed Sonic his chilidogs and took off
his trench coat and draped it around the girl's shoulders. It
was warm but not due to Gabriel's body heat, matter of fact if
someone touched him they'd feel nothing but ice cold death.
"Easy now, miss" he told her, "just sit down, relax."
