it was clear that she'd been listening to Madness too much, she
wasn't wrong though as Robotnik had used to do that, only
problem was that such hadn't been recent. [I]"I don't have many
run ins with robots myself to note so I can't really say i've
had experiences with them good or bad. I'll take your word for
it though."[/I] her eyes cast over to Mecha working away.
[I]"But hey, if he doesn't harm either of us and he means so
much to you that you consider him a brother then by all means
why should I be hostile? Like I said, i'm right behind you two
on this."[/I]

"Consider?" Kida almost laughed, "Mecha is my brother and as
long as I've known him he's never been powered by a small
animal. As for the overlander, he's like everyone else. Thinks
that these people and creatures of beauty are means for
destruction. Half his little creations come to me to get fixed
if they can. If Mecha finds any of them he brings them to me at
my workshop so I can fix the poor dears. If I meet that
overlander, he's going to have a serious talk with my wrench as
well as my fist."
Mecha got through what he thought was the only layer of vines
only to find more thicker layers underneath. If he could frown,
he would. With a whirring sigh, he continued to hack away at
the vines.

appeared by her side attached to her shorts via a holster with a
hole torn out of the bottom. [I]"Or at least get him within half
a mile."[/I] with her smiling her rifle disappeared from her
side. Watching Mecha Knuckles tear away at the foliage somewhat
impressed her. [I]"I like your brother's determination."[/I]

Kida adjusted her glasses as she looked at the rifle. Her brain
analyzing what she could see of it.
[glow=fuchsia,2,300][I thank you for your statement about my
determination.][/glow] he told the hedgefox as he got through
another layer of vines, only to find more. His eyes narrowed as
he was getting sick of this. With that he looked at the two and
only nodded at Kida.
"We'd better stand back," Kida told Madeliene as she grabbed the
hedgefox's arm and ran back behind a few trees.
With that Mecha held out his left arm, with a series of whirrs
and clicks it became a cannon. He then aimed it at the
troublesome foliage, charging up a blast.

Fem seemed somewhat intrigued by the cannon on the robot.
[I]"Where'd he get the cannon?"[/I] she asked Kida. [I]"Did you
build it onto him? Judging by what you've said so far you seem
like you could."[/I] she couldn't help gaining a smile. She'd
also completely forgotten about Robin, Madness and the
graveyard, which was what she had set out to do. The matter of
Heiru stuck in the back of her head though. For some reason she
couldn't shake that one.

"Well I did in someways but in reality he could do it before but
never was able to tap into it until I messed around with some
wires," Kida replied with a slight blush.
There was a loud echoing sound of a laser before an even louder
boom. Leaves and vines went flying everywhere and dust clouded
everything. Kida coughed a bit as she slowly looked up from the
bush they were hiding behind.
Mecha's eyes shone through the dust as he scanned the inside of
the entrance. [glow=fuchsia,2,300][Scans so no sign of life or
movement, structurally sound even after cannon fire][/glow] he
stated as he waited for his sister and the hedgefox.
Kida slowly got up and headed over as the dust settled.

Fem of course followed behind Kida as she wandered back over to
the robot. It seemed that it had managed to blast them an
entrance.
But one thing struck her, this entrance looked used in the past.
This made her scratch her head. [I]"Level with me on something
Kida. This part looks like it's been used before. But besides
Knuckella, you two are the only ones that would come here, so
why bother to go to the trouble of hiding an entrance that
nobody is going to see anyway? I'm just... confused I
guess."[/I] granted she was a little confused, after all, how
often could it really be that Knuckles ever strayed around the
island and away from the emerald?

"Well for starters, this entrance was covered with years of
jungle growth," Kida replied as she started to go into the
entrance, "Secondly this is much like every other entrance to
the Catacombs, only this one has markings I've never seen
before. You see, I live in the Catacombs so this is an entrance
I've never seen until now. Wonder where it leads...." With
that, she went inside with Mecha not far behind.

response with a bit of a 'whoops' face as she followed the duo,
it would be no surprise that she was wondering what she was
going to find down in this area, much like Kida had said she
was. [I]"Weeeell wherever it leads, one thing i'd imagine we
hope to find down here is another phoenix or whatever was the
cause of the light right?"[/I] she asked her. And did she not
have a point even if the logic behind how she brought it up was
or wasn't all there?

Almost immediately the group is surrounded in the dark, damp
world of the Catacombs. The smell of sulfur and ash is faint in
the air. A pale light is coming from one of many corridors as
well as....was that faint music?
